Default Lou Thesz Culture House Cards PSA/DNA Signed...

I saw this item on EBAY and placed a bid and won. It came in the mail yesterday and looks really cool in the PSA/DNA holder.

It is much larger then I realized and the holder is very thick and sturdy.

Does anyone know anything about this card?

The card was released in 1988 by Culture House Books. It is a set of 10 numbered cards of former wrestling champions, plus 3 additional unnumbered cards of Lou Thesz, which consists of slightly different cardstock. The 10 cards were available as an uncut poster. I believe the set was produced by wrestling historian Mike Champman.

Thank you for the information.

I have not seen this card in the time I have been collecting wrestling cards.

Would you consider it hard to find?

Lou Thesz items seem to sell for very little and that was the case here when you consider who he was.

The cards are scarce, but not impossible.

I saw this card and thought of bidding but non pack certified autographs always scare me a little. Historically in all the other sports, people pay premiums for pack certified cards well above and beyond in person autograph cards (even if PSA/DNA'ed). It's also why Im not a big fan of the All Stars signed cards in that to me it is nice yet defaces the card at the same time. On the other hand some of those guys died so many years ago I don't know where else you'd find an authentic autograph that isn't on a piece of paper or something.

Anyway this card definitely has a nice look and for 60 bucks its a good pickup.

I don't think PSA will grade these cards (card stick is rather cheap), unless they are signed then they will grade the autograph with a DNA slab.
