there is still a ton of wrestlers that Leaf can use for at least 2 more releases of this product, just think about the 90's alone. I would love to see both nasty boys sign and Harlem Heat. Also some cruiser weights like Juve and Ultimo Dragon.

just reading about this now. Would have loved to be an artist on a set like this! Anyone know who the artist(s) are and also who did the art for last year's release?

At one point I had two Rick Steiner base art printing plates. I currently only have one. Probstein just put one up for sale, but it isn't the one that I owned, so there are definitely more than two plates of each out there.

I would not mind seeing an upgraded list of females in this set.
like:
Torrie Wilson
Debora
Medusa
Gorgeous George
Chyna (she probably can't sign as china though)
Sunny
Sable (don't know if she can use this name either)
Trish Stratus

For the most part there are a lot of women they can use for 2 or 3 more releases.
But still for this next release they need both Nasty Boys

Chyna was able to sign using that name in the 2011 TNA release.

American Icons is having a big wrestling signing this summer and I suspect a lot of the leafs will get signed then as a lot of big names will be in the same place at once. Icons has been quiet about releasing names for the signing, but one announced name is Ron Simmons. I am excited about the possibility of some Ron Simmons on card autos. I am really, really hoping for Teddy Long, Butch Reed and Ron Simmons cards. I can't wait for this release.

How awesome would it be to see a Doom triple-sig card?

Leaf just tweeted:

"Just bought a truly sick wresting cut collection.. Originals wrestling should be amazing #andrethegiant"

Well if they do add cuts along with improved art, series 2 will crush series 1.

That makes me even more excited about the new set.. so many good options for cuts (both living and deceased)

Tyson would be nice in the next set. An alternate variation with him doing a weak attempt at a crotch chop would be awesome. Also if they do have Pete Rose again I at least hope they give us something unique with him getting tombstoned or chokeslammed by Kane so it stands out and is something different than his other 150 autographed cards and features one of his memorable wrestling TV/PPV moments. PS Leaf Originals Football is sick as far as a draft set goes, I am really hoping Leaf sticks with the Originals format and keeps giving us at least a few more wrestling sets.

I'm looking forward to seeing a checklist. I just hope Leaf doesn't backdoor all the best cards, like they did with the first set.

Why would anyone buy this in sealed form considering the fiasco with Series 1 singles? But remember....it is always someone other than Brian Grays fault.

I busted a sealed case and did very well. I pulled 2 Bret Harts with 1 being a red /10. I pulled a blue /10 Hogan and graham /25 blue. I also pulled a bunch ink variations. I got an original art redemption and Piper redemption (yellow /50). I thought for the most part I did real well. But with that said I do understand where you are coming from. With 2 supposed 1/1 Halls popping up did not help Leaf's reputation. Also Probstein has probably sold 10 black 1/1's, I don't think that is a coincidence.

I don't bust a lot of product, but had kind of mixed results with what I did. A really bad all base yellow hot box, a mediocre/not horrible box, and one really good box that included a Hogan white base and a Jake Roberts base printing plate. The guys I know personally who busted cases all actually did pretty well. I think in general Leaf does a good job of packing value in there boxes, but I do wish if it was a yellow hot box I got it at least would have included a couple of alternates, made my decision to only try one hot box easy to stick by.

If cards are shorted again (for whatever reason), I don't see collectors trying to build sets. That should dramically impact the overall popularity of the set.

Leaf needs to have inventory control measures in place, be truthful about production runs, and be up front in regards to quantities held back for "customer service" and holiday packs.

Agree 100%... still going to be tough for me not to get into some of these.

Just one persons opinion but i really hope they keep the wrestling set strictly w the 48 design. I really am not a fan of the football originals 60 style cards at all.

I guess we won't see Warrior in the set unfortunately. It would of been great to see an on card Warrior auto.
