Question 2013 Leaf Wrestling Series 2

Has there been any word or rumors about this set? Is it going to happen?

Yes, already threads on it.
New artist is confirmed. Mostly new names. Leaf said a lot of older guys who may never be signing again, overseas guys and wacky names.

Anyone go to National and Leaf booth? Wonder if they have any cards for it on display yet. I expect release to be late in year like last series.

Which wrestlers are scheduled to appear in this release? When you write mostly new names, which old names are reappearing?

Other then what pnft17 spoke on there hasn't been much of anything said on the subject in months. Brought the question up to Leaf on their page and was never responded to.

My guess is Hogan and Flair both get into new set. Leaf works with them a lot.

Would like to see Piper and George Animal Steele again in next set. Like seeing new cards of guys I collect.

I don't think it's a given any longer this set will be released. I know myself and quite a few others were turned off last year by the whole Scott Hall red ink fiasco and a fear cards were backdoored one way or another at the signings. The market for anyone still looking at these lately for 2012 is not doing so well right now. I'd say the cards have lost about 25-50 percent of their previous selling value over the last three months. It's also more costly and time consuming to put out an on card autograph set with artwork. Regardless, I know I won't be buying boxes or cases if it is released just a few cards of guys I don't have autographs of. With that said Tristar keeps churning out cheap TNA junk every year so I'm sure if Leaf can make any money off this it will be eventually released once they get one together but this is already way later in the year than last years set was scheduled to come out and not a word of its been mentioned recently.

I don't think the set has lost momentum I just think there has not been a lot of the rarer cards listed online. If someone lists something rare we will see some money spent.

I was at the national and stopped at the leaf booth. They had some examples of stuff. I have pictures on my phone so if I can send someone an email I can get those out. Also the artist initials I believe were S.s. but I can't remember what his name was. I will say the art is very improved

Looks like they'll be reusing some of the guys but IMO they look amazing! I'll definitely be grabbing one of the Hollywood Hogans!

Well I will say if/when its released it looks like a major upgrade on the artwork.

I still think its going to take some time to get this together/out if it still doesn't have a scheduled release date given all the problems with the delay in last years release.

As to the market for 2012 I think some rarer cards have sold for significantly less than they would have three months ago. But yes the market is all but flooded now with the low end guys.

The artwork looks really impressive.

I just hope the best cards don't get shortprinted, backdoored, or stolen like the first set.

Best high name autos are always sp in just about any sports/entertainment release. Makes chase.
Preview pictures look great.

Last years set didn't get released till late November. Hasn't even been a year. I wouldn't expect to see this set released any sooner than that. Takes awhile to get on card autos. One of the other beauties of this set. Leaf does a great job with that.

I hope we see the original artwork being in product again as redemptions. A very nice value add.

I'm overly excited (for the second release in a row lol) for this set! I like the artwork I've seen so far better then SportsKings artist.. Great move by Leaf landing Mr. Stanley!
