Default 1982 Wrestling All Stars #1 Andre The Giant Blank Back.....

I just got this in the mail today and I am very pleased with it.

It might be the most unique wrestling card I own.

I have only seen one other blank back Wrestling All Stars card and it is owned by another collector.

Here are the scans.

That is super cool and you can't go wrong with your only blank back being a card of Andre!

I emailed Joe and asked him what PSA's stance was on cards such as this.

It looks like the answer to the question if PSA will grade a blank back card is a maybe and if so it would be graded authentic. I think this card would look great in a PSA holder and I will give it a try.

What have other blank-backed cards been graded? I would imagine this is consistent with those.

It sounds like it is hit or miss on whether it will be placed in a holder. It is up to the discretion of the grader and it is not guaranteed.

With no blank back cards in PSA holders from this set it in theory could hurt the chances as there are no other examples to compare it too to prove authenticity.

If a card is known to have blank back examples it sounds like it would be easier to get it slabbed.

It is worth the shot. The card would be quite a bit more valuable in my opinion in a holder.

Either way I am very excited about it and will just send it in and see what happens.

Weird that the grader gets final say. Seems too subjective in this case. Very cool and unique item.

Cool card.

What other All Stars card has a blank that is known?

There is a Don Muraco in an SGC EX-MT grade. I am not aware of any other one's.

I will be sending this card in this weekend with a number of other cards.

It is always interesting to add new artifacts from the set to my collection and I came across an order form for all of the PWE souvenir products.

Here is a pic of the multi page insert.

PSA would not grade the card and so I decided to send it to another grader.

The card is at SGC right now.

I think there is a good chance it is going to make it into a holder.

I hope so. This is a killer card if you ask me.
