Default 1981 Japanese Marusho Pro Wrestling Set - Hogan!

Here is a set I've been working on for a few months. The top three right cards are ones I've had before. I picked up the other six recently including a Hulk Hogan! The backs all have the age of wrestlers on some of them. Hogan is listed as 27 years old. Terry Funk is listed as 35. With Tiger Mask debuting in 1981 it seems this set was printed in the summer of 1981. The cards measure approximately 2" x 3".

Checklist:
1. Tiger Mask - Back Kick
2. Tiger Mask - Arm Raised
3. Tiger Mask vs Solar
4. Tiger Mask and Mil Mascaras
5. Tiger Mask - Over Opponent
6. El Canek
7. Mil Mascaras
8. Terry Funk
9. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan was born August 11, 1953 so he would have been 27 in the middle of 1981.

Yeah, Funk would have turned 36 in the summer of 80. I figure they were close, not exact on age.

Thanks! Unfortunately, some of the cards have staple holes where the cards got stapled when the were sealed in their packs. It looks like these were packaged two per pack as 2 pairs of the cards have the staple holes lined up.

Would these be considered Menko? (game symbols on bottom of backs)

Is it possible there are many more cards in the set?

They are definitely mini cards, but do have a few of the traditional menko characteristics. There are likely more in the set....upwards of 24-36 I'm suspecting.

Found a video with Hogan wearing the same multi-colored cape as on the card. No date though.
