Default Does McIlroy break Nicklaus' record of 18 majors?

4 of them at 25, no reason to not expect him to win at least 2 more next year. He should at least pass Tiger.
Printing plate autograph collection: 176 and counting
Collect: Ra'Shede Hageman, David Cobb, Maxx Williams, Eric Murray, Briean Boddy-Calhoun

Tiger had 6 at 25 and he's only at 14 now... Too tough to predict the future and what Rory's commitment will be, injuries, etc. Definitely has the talent to get close at least

Rory wont have the injuries that tiger is dealing with. Those are rather unusual for a golfer imo.
If you say its cheaper on ebay then why didn't you purchase it?

Rory is not on Tigers level yet. Not 100% sold on him, but I'm pretty close. Tiger never blew a lead like Rory did at the Masters. That drive on 18 today almost went in the drink. He was very lucky. Tiger never showed any chinks in the armor like that when he was Rorys age.

If Tiger's career keeps going down its current path, and Mickelson continues to get will only make Rory's chances that much better. A lot of the hallmark greats won't be in his way like they used to be.

Let's revisit this in 5 years. He has 4. And he squeaked out yesterday. He had 3 people on his tail. I think Phil lost yesterday more than Rory won. Phil played great yesterday but that bougy on 17 killed him.

I clicked no. It's WAY too early to even think about him catching Jack.

Tiger has proven how impossible this is to predict.

I'll wait until McIlroy gets to 10 before we can assume anything else....he's not even a quarter of the way there.

I say No also , way to many varibles over time ,once Rory starts to get older his swing will need revamping like Tigers did , he swings out of his shoes when driving the ball and is only what 5' 9' tall , the competition is stiff and deep with many young golfers with major talent ,and the older guys who can still win ( Phil ,Tiger when he is finally fully recoverd ,etc etc

just to mention a few

Ricky Fowler <who had the best run in the Majors in 2014 without winning
Jordan Spieth

you also have the younger guns who are on and playing in the US amature or college

not taking away from Rory and his Talent ,but Tiger dominate for way too many years to even consider this on Rory , from amature level to pros from 1994 to 2012 ,when Rory has establish a track record like this and has 10 or Majors ,then maybe we can ask this question
weird fact , Bob May is only other golfer who hods a amature dominate record as good as Tigers

I play golf and close to being scratch golfer myself and know all to well how fast things can go south in any given round or time period , but Rory is obviously in the zone right now ,question is how long will it last

Is this poll going to go on until the end of his career?
Currently working on TNA 2012 Reflexxions with 98/99 so far.

1 to go for the 2012 TNA Reflexxions set! Paying well for on card autos I still need.

Yes, we will be checking it every year. I know when I'm in assisted living in 30 years and peeing into a bag, I will still remember this thread vehemently while I shake my fist.

Someone else will come along at some point. Too many good players now that can put 4 rounds together on any given weekend. I say no.
