My port sale ad on COMC posted recently. I'm looking to sell off what I have at a big discount. Looking for $1125 or b/o on it (some stuff has sold since I made the ad yesterday so the numbers have changed a little)

I slashed the prices of about 4,000 cards (and still going) up to 97.5% (after making an offer). To be perfectly honest, I raised the prices of a few because I cannot lose that much money on some of the cards. I need to unload as much as possible due to a 5,000 card shipment that needs to be paid for.

I am going to accept every offer. I will never reject an offer (unless the card was recently bought and is unavailable). There are CHEAP, great and rare cards buried deep in my port so make sure you browse thoroughly through the port. Make offers!! Please no offers on the 50 cent cards and below unless you are buying high value cards.

To celebrate passing the $10,000 sale mark on COMC, I am accepting ALL offers 20% off asking prices for the entire month of September. I'm also open to larger discounts on certain cards. Please make me an offer. The worst thing that could happen is a counter of 20% off asking prices. Many of my cards are marked to the lowest on the site or are the only cards on the site, so there should be a ton of potential for flippers as well as collectors.

There is a great mix of sub-$0.25 cards to higher-end product. I have RPAs, 1/1s, Multi-Autos, HOFer Autos and other nice cards from higher end products like Premier, Exquisite, etc for sale. There's also a good selection of 50s and 60s vintage baseball and football.

Now that you can sell your entire port at the click of the mouse, absolutely everything will sell on COMC. It's really just a matter of how much you get and how fast the item sells.

* Cards marked 80% to 90% off guide sell faster than cards marked 50% to 100% of guide.

* Cards sell much faster when you accept offers and when you advertise that you accept offers, especially if you accept 50% offers.

* Cards sell better when the player accomplished something in the pros - was an All-Star, was on a championship team, won major awards like MVP, was inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

* Cards from sets that people are trying to complete sell better than random cards. With vintage Topps, more popular sets like 1957 or 1971 will sell faster, and hi # cards will sell faster. With 1990's sets, that means cards from premium sets like Finest and Chrome will sell better than regular cards, and that scarce parallels like First Day Issue or Finest Refractors will sell well. With 2000's sets, the super premium cards such as Exquisite tend to sell well.

* Cards which are serially numbered or game used or autographed sell better than base cards.

* Rookie cards tend to sell better than later year cards.

* Baseball tends to sell better than Basketball and Football, which tend to sell better than Nascar and Hockey. Non-sports and Magic cards are hit-and-miss.

* Players who are currently playing in MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL sell better than players who are in the minor leagues or playing overseas, which sell better than retired or inactive players (unless the retired / inactive players were stars or champions).

My recommendation would be to start with cards which have a book value of $3 to $20 or so (depending on your comfort level), where the lowest COMC price is at least $1, and where you would be happy even if you wound up taking 50% of the lowest COMC price. Send a batch in and then post a new thread to the "Spam Your eBay and COMC listings here!" board. Maybe even cough up $3 and advertise on COMC's ad section.

Good luck! It can be a lot of fun and very rewarding.

I submitted an ad this morning saying that I will accept all 20% offers on any card in my port for the remainder of October. I will only counter if the card or cards are purchased by another buyer (or if you went more than 20%). I am not raising prices or making them all BV or higher. I will not counter you at a higher price. Lots of good deals to be had. Over 200 cards available in baseball, basketball, football, and multi-sports. I don't have auto accept on so I will be manually going in to review the offers. First come, first serve.

-problem solved-
I set my cards to go live at 11am this morning......they all say for sale with prices......but nothing of mine is searchable by anyone. Anytime I or anyone else goes to my page, no cards are found? I know there is a delay but this is stupid. about a 5+ hour delay?

Is there something about the 1st of the month that they don't have cards go live?

Please PM me with any help.

What kind of cards sell best at COMC? I don't sell al lot but like the idea of someone else doing the work. Of course, I don't want to pay fees to sell there and have the wrong stuff, wrong prices, etc.

What sells best is really a moving target. I have had success with about every price range and sport (racing appears to be the slowest). The higher the percentage off of bv that you are selling for really seems to help move cards. My reccommendation would be to do a little flipping on the site first and only buy things you would be willing to take delivery of.
