Suggestion for a FT only section

I've heard a number of people express interest in this. I think it would be an asset and help to sort out some of the exchanges that go on here.

Yes it would be a great asset if we could get a trade only section. It seems like the quick sale threads are taking over the B/S/T section. There is no way us traders stand a chance when we get knocked to page 3 within 20 minutes. I'm quite sure there are plenty of other users who will agree and want the same. Thanks

I think it would help people find each other a little easier.

Plus we could all title our threads a little better. I'm guilty of being vague sometimes out of laziness. Taking a moment to think out thread titles better could also help folks find each other to complete deals of any kind.

I think its a cool idea. It would help set builders to I think. Only problem I see, is that the mods are stretched out pretty thin as it is. If another section were added, they may need a new mod also.

True, there is alot of website for only a couple of mods... but they don't have to sift through threads to look for stuff, people report rule infractions and they just respond to the reported threads/posts. I don't think there would be a big increase in the volume of traffic.. it would just be a little more organized, that's all.

This is the first I am seeing of this thread. I actually like the idea a lot. I will discuss with Robert and Pat about possibly implementing it. I think this may actually make things a lot easier on us. Particularly on the sale threads where people don't post prices!

I'm all for this! Very difficult to trade on this site compared to others, yet a larger community. Should also implement a trading system like what SCF has. Would be a lot easier to keep track of trades.

what about the possibility of someone wanting something and they dont have anything to trade that interests another person? I think that if this were done there would be twice as many threads. Thats why its a buy/sell/trade section. Its there because theres always a monetary payment thats offered as a 2nd choice to many collectors.

Im not sure if that whole thing made sense but the short answer is im opposed to a FT only section

Agreed. A breakdown for years like pre 2000 and then one for after wouldn't hurt either or at least a separate one for vintage.
