Box Breaks: Typed Not Video

Anyone else frustrated by clicking on a box/case break and simply seeing the link to a video? I think something should be discussed to make the posted of the break type out the results as well. I dont care about the video link, but I want to be able to read what they got not watch a freakin video for 10 minutes. Im not sure posting an outside link to a break qualifies as posting your results..

I personally like the videos, but I definitely would want to see it typed out as well.

I'm a visual kind of guy, so seeing a box break typed out with no pictures gives me the same kind of frustration. It's nice to know what you got, but I wanna see it

But to the original issue, a video with no text is silly.

Depends on the person doing the video. That Truth guy does a nice video for example. He has a nice desk he sits at, a catchy rap song playing in the background, and he makes some funny faces when a big hit is pulled.

On the other hand, you have a red headed pack searcher, sitting in a 70's mobile home, and dropping the F-bomb every other word.

So yeah, it can be a little frustrating.

I have no problem in a person makes their own video and posts it.

Kind of lazy in my mind.

But the ones that take the cake are the ones that just like the breaks to Chris72653849463 (Don't know the numbers)
or the ones who do nothing but try to get people to buy into their "SWEET, MOJO,SICK, NASTY" breaks where they get $200 on a $75 box

The only video breaks I like to watch are the Blowout ones--they take about 5 min. tops otherwise I don't even hit the link

I just think if you post a break there should be some sort of summary or something. When the title says 9 box break and then there is simply a link and nothing else it gets a little annoying. Plus for blowouts interest, it at time seems to promote other sellers or group breaks from products not purchased from Blowout.

I don't waste time watching videos either.

Reading is much quicker than watching. If the results are not typed, I don't pay attention...unless it's SK related, of course. In which case, I only watch so I don't miss out on something good.

If a box breaker wants news of his pull to reach the greatest number of people, typing the results will accomplish this more than "video only".

Personally, I like a concise list of the main hits with scans. I will gladly watch a video if the post peaks my interests though.

I believe firmly that any videos should be embedded instead of linked. An embedded video keeps the traffic at blowout whereas a link merely filters the traffic to another site.

What I am wholeheartedly AGAINST though is a rule that says you have to type out your break. Not that I don't type out my breaks and include some scans, but if I am writing about a 12 case break - then the only way I am going to be able to display all the hits is through a video.

I hate a break that is nothing more than a link to a video - and there should be a linking guideline against that because it does nothing but filter traffic to another site - but there should never be a rule that a breaker has to type out his break (with or without a video).

Actually, that is wrong. Given just an option between the two, videos get more traffic. I love blowout - and they have some serious traffic - but who can compete with youtube?

I just skip it if it's a video break.

I assume people who don't post at least a summary just want to move the view counter on YouTube.

+1 Chri5784 has the best breaks. Most video breaks are pretty bad though.
