Bumping Threads
Ok...I had at least one other moderator agree with this..whats everyone elses thoughts...Rules right now as most do know one bump per day (24 hour period) is whats acceptable. For those that are not following this I say the entire thread gets deleted. Great way to clean up the forums, no?
|
Agreed fish, no need to bump more than once a day! :)!
|
yes....... delete. i know i've been guilty of this, but only by accident..... :D
|
Oh and for the record, I did make this a private poll, even I cant see the results.
|
I voted...and I'm not at all afraid to not be anonymous. Once a day is PLENTY. I get sick of someone listing a card in the Sell section, then bumping it every two hours because they haven't had any inquiries yet.
|
I voted and wish it could be 1 bump per week unless they are giving something away free
|
shouldn't be allowed to bump more than once every 8 hours.
:D |
The twice-per-day bump is annoying, but (in my opinion) the 10 unanswered bumps on the same thread is much worse... "price lowered"... "c'mon, guys, doesn't anyone want these". Even if it's 10 bumps over 10 days, it's still unnecessary.

:D
are you talking about bumpin' "the white stuff" or bumping threads? |

is this what you were talking about... |
I have to agree. One per day is good.
|
Its more about those 7 month old threads that newbies like to pull up and post I have this or I am interested in this. Those are the ones that annoy most of us. The bumps to the sale threads are kind of annoying once if it goes to page 2 maybe is ok but these every 1 hour bumps got to go or yes they should be deleted.
|
Bump!!!
I agree, once per day at the most. |
just have it so the threads are in order of date created instead of new posts, except then people will just make new threads...
|
bump to the top :)!
|
Once a day is fine, and if you have more than one card in a sport, 1 thread is good enough. There have been many threads with a single card in it, then said member will add a new thread with a different card from the same sport.
I think if we were able to change the title of the thread as it appears in the forum, this would allow members to give better information as to changes or additions and would be very helpful in decreasing bumps and or multiple threads for the same thing. |

I'll ask Pat about this, but think it has something to do with the permissions level within the software. maybe that part can be moved?

about bumps or title changing? |
about bumps or title changing?
Title Changing. Once this poll is closed in a week, I'm pretty sure we'll incorporate the majoritys opinion unless Blowout veto's it. |

it seems like it is only positive, someone can just reuse the same 2 threads without making an extra 4 or 5 new ones |
SCF! SCF! SCF!
|
so...................does replying to my own threads to add/clarify information constitute a bump?
