Default Please create a trade manager

I am getting tired on not getting feedback and having a better way of tracking my transaction. Please get a trade manager to make this easier and to have a better record of transactions.

There's multiple threads and requests on this right now.

However member security an issue that must be addressed (keeping in mind the manager will need all of your personal contact info posted, which we feel must be kept secure). This part is my biggest concern regarding all of this.

The current forum software version were using to my knowledge cant handle a trade manager and we must upgrade the software. I'm unsure on the expense of this, but typically commercial software isnt cheap.

However as I said this is something that we're looking into and have been. The start and/or progression of this was the requirement of adding links/documentation to the current deals.

Unfortunately that makes even more people not leave feedback than before.

Basically you and the buyer or seller, set up a "trade manager" where you outline how much money is being exchanged, what cards are being exchanged...etc. I am shocked that blowout doesn't have this, because it makes it very easy and clear for buyers and sellers.

Can't personal info just be posted via personal message?, it doesn't have to be posted in the trade manager.

I honestly don't know. I don't and can't do anything with the forum configurations. I know SCF appears to be on a database of sorts. But if its via pm then I can't view it for review purposes (I can't view your pm either).

I'm not against one but it does need to be safe.

I guess why fix something that isnt broke? The trade manager on other forums (Beckett, Sportscardforum) are a big waste.

I am a member of a forum that does literally hundreds of thousands of dollars of trading in sports cards (predominantly baseball) a month and we have no trade manager and no rules . In around 12 yrs I know of approximately $25 of fraud in total. If members are smart in their transactions it is very safe to do business in forum trade areas. Always check references or ping a moderator if unsure of someone. The software is the same as this....and yes, a trade manager s/w is a big undertaking. I doubt it would be very costly but it would be a big deal to implement, from what I have seen.

btw, maybe I am in the dark but isn't there a trade manager here already?

I don't think we need a trade manager. Keep doing transactions and your feedback will grow, be patient

And that just proves those people are lazy and unmotivated.

It takes an extra 10 seconds to leave feedback the new way compared to the old way. Generation cupcake can't handle that
