Ok, lots of choices to vote on here.
Here is where we are at and future collections: Current balance - $254.17 Uncollected for May - $900 Uncollected for June - $1000 Uncollected for July - $1080 ______________________________ Unclaimed Bids for May - ??? Unclaimed Bids for June - ??? Unclaimed Bids for July - ??? _________________________________ Owed on Bowman Jumbo Case - $975 __________________________________ Upcoming products that currently seem to be favored: June - Bowman Platinum - (6 box case = $512)(12 box = $1020) July - Triple Threads - (9 box = $1750) (18 box = $3500) Keep in mind these numbers do not include: paypal fees, supply costs, shipping costs or any product discounts As discussed one possibility is to purchase the master cases of Platinum and TTT and only those interested in paying more will participate in the second half of each case. IF all 24 teams participate then I believe an extra $45 per month for June and July or $90 total would cover the master case costs, etc. If say only 12 teams are willing to participate then obviously the figure above would be DOUBLE ($90 per month or $180 total) so please keep that in mind. The numbers above would be the costs PER TEAM since we have a few members that have multiple teams. Make sure you consider all scenarios. * - option #1 is asterisked because I am not positive we will have enough to cover this but we should after team bidding over the next three months.

I voted for 6 box platinum for June and vote July later. I would like to see an 18 box TTT for July though and would be willing to add extra funds. One question I do have though is if we decide to go with master cases of both or one, how will the teams that are claimed but not paid extra for the 2nd half of the case be distributed?

I guess I am curious to see how many claimed teams go unclaimed for the 2nd half of cases (should we go that route) and what the extra costs would be etc. Obviously too early to even begin to figure that at this point. I probably would be interested in picking up one possibly two extra teams in that scenario, depending on cost of course.

6 box Platinum/9 box TTT (no additional funds*)
I voted for this...with 2 teams it would just be too expensive for me to add additional funds for the full cases. Unless the checklists show the chance for a mega hit for the Indians or Mets I will just pay the monthly minimum as of right now. |

I think the poll may be skewed a bit. Problem is those that want to throw an extra $90 out have one choice whereas those that want to do the $45 standard have multiple choices which means it is impossible to overturn the one option with extra dollars. We should really ask the group do we want to put extra money in or not. If majority says yes then we know the outcome; if majority is no then we would look at products at that time. This could become incredibly uneven and who knows how many teams would have to buy in. How do we handle the people who do not want to put in extra dollars? If there is a monster hit in an 18 box case of TTT and half is all and half is few then you may get a "difference of opinion" on which half of the case should have been for the entire group. Just my opinion.

I guess my main point is we all bought in at $45 per team. If we wanted this many high end products we should have voted on a higher dollar amount in the beginning. As much as I would love and will most likely go ahead and put in the extra dollars I believe we are changing the rules midstream...

Both master (Platinum and TTT) cases contain 2 smaller inner cases. I just think of the additional inner cases as a separate group break. Leave our group club break to be a 6 box case of Platinum and a 9 box case of TTT. Pick which inner case belongs to the group and which is extra before we open. Figure the difference on the additional boxes and split that among the people who want in on the 2nd break. Don't use any of the baseball club money. That's what I thought anyways.

I was doing some math to try to see if I would be interested in adding funds to "maybe" go in on the extra 9 Boxes of TTT it would be roughly w/ 12 people $146.00. That is if the price does not go up????????? Or am I figuring incorrectly?

Those that don't want to add funds would still be participating in a 6 box platinum and 9 box TTT break. Voting for the 12/18 was more to gauge how many would actually be willing to do this.

So at this point we have 15 people that want Platinum and Triple Threads for June/July. 10 of these people are willing to put in extra funds in order to purchase 12/18 box cases.
Does this make more sense? Sorry if there was confusion.

As for how the products are ordered you really need to keep this 100% clean since this is outside the scope of the club. Any extra purchases I believe should be a completely separate order and not a breakup of a master case. Breaking up a master case will only lead to questions about what half is for what part of the group. And god forbid the group break yields little to no hits and the "extra" break is great. Less than half of the group wants to provide extra funding at this point which is why trying to do this add on is a bad idea. Just my opinion...

Not trying to speak for those that want to pay for the additional product but there are case hits that I am sure those that want to participate want a shot at. Buying two separate half cases seems to defeat that purpose.
