hockey monthly break club

Even if we started with smaller numbers and make it bimonthly or quarterly.... I have one nonmember who would be interested in joining if we can get this up and running.

Are people really into the idea of a club/monthly or would people just like to see more hockey group breaks? I'm more than happy to throw up some more, but mine seem to end up not working due to either really bad timing or people just dont like me.

I was thinking of starting a Panini Certified Group Break for their November release if people are interested.

Ok, I think a $75 price point for a monthly club would work pretty well. With 15 people that would be $1125 a month to work with. Additional slots could be sold to other forum members as interested.

Would people be more interested in team or hit breaks?

Team Break for sure. So 15 monthly members we all agree on the product to bust. The other 15 slots would be open to any other Blowout Member is that right. Would the teams be random by all 30 slots or do the monthly guys get first pick? Say the core 15 members put there $75.00 for the month the other 15 slots that would be open to anyone else would be cheaper or do we charge $75.00 to them also. We would them have to spend all the money and have no roll over. Or we can try $75.00 a per member with 15 members and we break low med and high end stuff, and each member get 2 teams. We would have money left over after the first break to add to the second break and so on and so forth. I would be in either way.

if it's going to be a club it needs to be a team break unless decided on differently for a specific product

and also the idea of a club is people choose their PC team or whatever team they want, and will pay each month for that team

Agreed. In typical club type breaks, the team holder usually has a specific team they hold onto. It usually works out better, meaning you pick your team=less complaints about not hitting anything. Also, it'd vary with product and year, obviously some teams have better hits depending on the year and product. I thought of doing a continuous break like this, but even if 15 or so members commit to a team price of $75, I'm not sure how many open slots would be bought. $75 for a team is kind of a lot for a non-committed person, especially if the teams left aren't the best. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this.

I've been part of breaks where there's 10 slots. You pick your first team and your randomed the other two teams. I think that works pretty well. Could work the same with 15 slots. Draft 1 team, randomed the other. Or do a 30 slot, draft every team.

I would be interested as I've seriously cut back my spending on new product and this would help me still crack stuff without spending ludicrous amounts on new wax.

Thinking about it, I realize that a team break is the only way to do it. I think we shoot for 15 members and do 1 drafted team and 1 random team. Draft order will be random as well.

As for price, $100 would give us a little more flexibility to do higher-end stuff, but $75 makes it a little more accessible to more people, if we need help getting 15 spots filled. I don't think $50 would be enough, especially since we will need supplies to get started.

Product can either be determined by a vote or we take turns going through the list of members, with everyone getting a turn to pick a month's break.

What do you guys think?
