Default What is a good set to try

Hey guys! I absolutly love watching you guys work on sets, and I would like to do one myself. I want something not super big. Not sure if I want pros, or prospects. Please let me know what you would do, and why. Thank you Blowout!

If prospects are your choice, you can't go wrong with pro debut or heritage minors. They are usually 200 card sets without short prints. I don't know much about trying for pros. I am semi working on the 1985 donruss and 1979 topps sets. I enjoy the older sets, as your able to get a ton of them ttm.

I will keep that in mind. I would have to buy the pro debut or heritage sadly. Would something along the lines of 90 Donruss work? Give a normally bad set some love?

Are you looking to actually complete the set?

The older the set, the more difficult (and expensive) the set is to complete. If you don't care about completion, pick a set design you enjoy and go from there.

If the goal is completion, Bowman Draft is usually the way to go... you can get a lot of those guys early before they get jaded and become tough to get.

I look,to ccomplete it, but will not probably. I know dbacksfan4life is doing 13 Topps, and 15 PD. Here are some of my options it sounds like

Older Donruss set
Pro Debut that I have to buy
Bowman Draft I have to buy
Topps set, what year?

Which of these do you guys like best, or do you have others?

Is there a set that has a mix of both possibly? Either way, what set would you do if you are me. Keep in mind that I am on a limited budget, so buying would have to be in chunks.

Okay guys! I have made a decision on one set I will try, I may start another. I am looking for suggestions still on that. I am going to go with (drumroll please)

2014 Topps Baseball

I think it will be fun to try a mix of big names, and small names. I might already have one or two. If you guys have any, PM me. Thanks!

The whole thing. Card #1. Mike Trout. I am in trouble already. I think I have 5 or so.
