Just trying to get some help with TTM cards autos...

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do with the cards that have alot of gloss on them. Just got some 2010 Bowman Chrome and I think they would look great with some autos on them. Even the base black signed with a silver sharpie would look so good, imo. Does anyone have tips on making those cards easier to sign?

I just don't want a lot of bubbling, streaking or smudges....

So what do you do with the baby powder or magic eraser?? Just rub the card? Does that not mess up the look of the card?

i like the magic eraser too because there is no mess, but i worry about what the chemicals will do to the autograph years from now...

I just use a soft pencil eraser...usually the white soft erasers that come with mechanical pencils, or I use the pencil eraser topper things--both work great. From my experience, don't use the "pink" erasers that normally come with regular pencils as they leave eraser streaks on the cards of which can't really be removed.

I too use the white erasers - work quite well. I have posted recent successes in my TTM thread, will show you that the sharpie stays nice and clean.

Is a silver Sharpie what is used for dark photos or is it a different brand of pen? I have a photo or two with not much "white" area and want to send a silver pen to make sure they don't sign it in dark ink.

They use the Staedtler permanent marker pens (usually).
