Would you call? Yes or No?

Hey there guys....

I am working on trying to find some legitimate addresses for the few remaining autos I need for the 1980 USA team set.

So I checked white pages.com for addresses....and I found a address and phone number for Dave Christian.

Now the address, I knew and I have sent to in early October of last year with no response.

SSOOOOOOO....
should I call the phone number and ask if it is okay to send another request?

I wouldn't, but I have a phobia of making telephone calls to strangers.

Here's my theory. You're not a telemarketer, so I don't think calling to ask about sending another request is "wrong", but like another stated I would be kinda shy about calling someone even remotely famous especially if I appeared to pull up their number out of nowhere without their knowledge. Then again, the white pages are public domain.

Mail does get lost. It happens. I don't know what it's like to be famous, but to me, unless you're convinced someone's out to get you or you're getting 100 letters a day, I don't see why AT THE VERY LEAST you can't open the letter and send back the unsigned item instead of throwing the letter away.

If you do call -- I wouldn't say another request. Just ask him if it would be ok to send something to have signed and ask if he would like a donation to a charity or himself or whatever.

Yeah I guess if you suggest it's not your first request they might think you're stalking them...lol.

Yeah I was thinking of running it like that. Just confirming if it would be okay? and the donation thing. LOL! I am nervous and it is only Dave Christian.

I called Bob Suter's sports shop (because it was a business) this morning to ask if I could send something there. His wife said sure, that she would get it to him.

Yeah, with all due respect to Mr. Christian I wouldn't really compare it to calling say a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady

You could always tell a little white lie and say that you are with a local school paper and are interested in interviewing him for an article about the Miracle team. Sounds shady, but it could get the verification you want.
