L3V1's NFL success thread

So I've just started doing autographs through the mail and have had some pretty cool successes. However, I'm going to start this thread off with a really harsh failure. So I'm a huge Eagles fan and I've seen tons of successes with Chuck Bednarik so I printed off a couple of those sweet photos of him standing over Gifford and sent them with a $5 donation. I got it back yesterday RTS / Refused. He didn't even open it?! Has anyone else had this kind of failure with Chuck? Should I send again or just eat the postage on the SASE?

I'll post everything that I have out and my successes / failures later. And I'm still new at this, so all advice is well received and appreciated.

Got another one today from Kirk Cousins. I was starting to worry about this one. It was one of the first I sent out and he's usually very fast at returning. I'm too lazy to upload pics right now so just picture a blue 2012 Press Pass signed in blue sharpie... Oooo, aaaa

And this is probably my favorite return so far, Doug Martin 3/3. I was getting worried about these, the first letter I sent out was a month or two ago so I sent him a second in case it was lost in the mail. Very glad to see that he is still signing. Can't wait to watch him tear it up this year!

I recieved a success from Ryan Lindley a few days ago. He signed 3/3 and added a few scriptures on 2 of them. Pretty cool success!





And today I got the COOLEST success! I never thought I'd see these come back, he seems very hit and miss with TTM. So, since I was a kid, Randall Cunningham has always been my all-time favorite football player. So when I was younger, a family friend gave me an autographed card of his. I loved the card and hated it at the same time; I loved it because it had Cunningham's auto and hated it because it was showcasing an Eagle's loss and Cunningham is about to get sacked in the photo. Well the guy doing the sacking is none other than Bruce Smith, so I thought it would be pretty cool to get him to sign this same card, and he DID! By far my favorite card in my collection now!




He also signed this Select Certified card which also looks pretty sweet. Got a really nice, BIG fingerprint on the #8.

Also got my first damaged card, and it just had to be my Frank Gifford. Pretty bummed about this one, this was my only Gifford card and I'm a huge fan of his. Oh well, you win some, you lose some, still a pretty cool card:



Also had a question for some of the more seasoned TTMers. So I've already sent out to the likes of Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins and Brock Osweiler, but those sigs are on college uni cards. I would really like to get some of their football uniforms, but I feel kinda dumb sending out to the same guy more than once. Is this truly taboo to send more than one letter to one person? If not, do you write the second letter like you've never written to them before or acknowledge the first letter and sigs and ask for more? Just curious, appreciate any input.

I have sent to Doug Martin and got one back so I sent again. I said in my second letter 'I appreciate you signing through the mail, it really shows you care about your fans'. So I didn't necessarily acknowledge the first one but I showed that I know he signs.

Wilson, D. Martin and K. Cousins are still signing, I sent out some sweet cards to them. Crossing my fingers
