JB Shuck, Howie Kendrick, Orlando Mercado, Jordan Walden, Tommy Hanson all have reported success this spring. Plus there were minors who signed thru ST. CJ Wilson is pretty good, Josh hamilton and Trout both signed at end of season last year.

Unrelated to ttming, I'm going to Arizona to see a bunch of games next week and I was wondering what it means for a player to get optioned to minors exactly. I noticed some have been "reassigned to minors camp" and some "optioned to minors". Do both mean the player has been cut??

It just means they're going to start the season in the minor leagues and will be practicing at minor league camp with the minor league teams and not at Spring Training with the big league club. They're all still in the organization, though.

Ah thanks. I had some cards for some guys who were "optioned" down, so i suppose they won't be at mlb camp anymore.

Just send to the minor league club right before the season starts. Prospects who are bound to be stars usually sign while they're young and then don't once they have major league success and get 100 times more fan mail. I plan to send to a bunch of top prospects this season. Should be good .

Always good to get a ST success back. I have always enjoyed watching Jackson pitch and I hope he stays healthy in the future. The 2004 topps dual rc will be going out to Greg Miller soon.

Really happy to get this success back. Hamilton is one of the most exciting prospects in the MLB. Another really nice ST return.

Just thought I'd relay some twitter news. Taijuan Walker tweeted last night that he was signing all of his fan mail, C.J. Wilson tweeted a couple weeks ago signing all of his mail in a bulk later on, Mike Olt has responded a few times to questions about spring training fan mail saying he will sign, and lastly Will Middlebrooks mother tweeted a photo about a week ago about Will signing a ton of fan mail. Thought I'd pass this along and good luck if you sent to any of these guys!

Hey guys, so i've been back from my time in Arizona for a few days and I finally have the time to show both the ttms i received while i was away and a few of the ips i received while i was there

One of the best ips i got, was Jurickson Profar but it came out horribly he signed across his face and then it smudged when he handed it back to me

So for some prospects, I was psyched to get Taijuan Walker (#2), Nick Franklin (#5), Brandon Mauer (#6), Carter Capps (#7), Profar (#1), Mike Olt (#2), Leonys Martín (#4), Cody Buckle (#8), Tyler Naquin (#3), Yasiel Puig (#2).

My biggest goal for my trip was to get three specific players; Darvish, Iwakuma, and Fujikawa. I specifically bought three Japanese cards of them on the internet before I left. I got Iwakuma on the first day almost immediately, but it took me until the last 2 days to get Fujikawa and finally Darvish!

Some other highlights: Mark Trumbo, Hunter Pence, Elvis Andrus, Joe Nathan, Barry Zito, Ryan Madson, Tom Wilhelmsen, Neftali Feliz, Nick Swisher, Joey Votto, Dusty Baker

And finally, the three I received while I was gone: Josh Johnson, David Robertson, and Wade Miley.


Do you think Middlebrooks might still sign during the season??I figured I would try then
