Default Lookin to start TTM. Questions.

I want to start doing this. But im very new to the whole idea to it.

- do you send cards to the stadium or somwhere else?
- what do you send the cards in?
- if the cards dont get sighned do they get sent back?
-how long does it usually take?
-is it hard to get big name players to sighn?

Any help would be appreciated!

1) Some stadium, some home depending on player. Ive had success with each. go to ttm websites to check for certain players
2) Penny sleeve, toploader, pwe with sase (self addressed stamped envelope)
3) sometimes
4) depends, some three days, some a year, some never
5) once again depends, some dont sign at all, others are really nice and do all that they can, but still no guarentee

Hi, Heres what I do.
First, I dont send for big name players unless they have a high success rate. On this site,
SCF Through The Mail Manager
You can search a player to see if they are active signers or not. It also gives addresses to send to. Also, I usually send in a well protected pwe (plain white evelope), and put the card in a toploader (dont use a pennysleve, the players hands are to big and they have trouble). You have to include another stamped emvelope so the player can send back to you. Ttm is a risk/reward, sometimes your card is sent back signed in a matter of days, sometimes it takes months, and sometimes you never get your card back. Avoid sending valuable cards to the player (just incase you dont get it back). I hope that helped
Shawn

Spring Training facilities are great from what I hear - often the players are not training all day. They get up pretty early, work their asses off, and are generally free by 2pm to golf or do things such as sign TTM requests.
