Sending Chrome Stock Card ttm

Ive only done this once just to see for myself how any topps chrome card would look signed. By that I mean how does the autograph look on a chrome card.

My main question though is, if you send a card with a chrome type of stock like Topps chrome or Panini prizm along with maybe 1 or 2 regular type cards (Base Topps) is there a chance any of the cards could get harmed in transit?

Im not sure if anyone would understand the question but if you do please feel free to respond.

If you send a chrome card - prep it with a magic eraser so the marker sticks to the card when signed.

The more cards you send, the thicker your envelope becomes. The thicker your envelope becomes, the easier it is to get caught up in an automatic sorting machine. If you spend the extra money and make it non-machinable you don't have a problem. If you are lucky and spread the cards out in the envelope you run less risk. But you can't control if the player "stacks" these cards in the return envelope and thus making your envelope thicker. I'm not sure if that made sense or not - but I know what I'm trying to say

Not true. You can spend the extra money and they can still send it through the machine. I was actually talking to one of the workers at my PO. I ship out alot of stuff and they know me now. They said it really dosent matter if you pay the extra money. She said the workers will still send them through the machine. I asked this because I wanted mine to not go through the machine. She actually talked me out of it and told me it was a waste of money.

Also I have not had luck with a magic eraser. I use baby powder. If you do it this way just make sure to wipe all the powder off. A little goes a long way.

Use these erasers - not the dryboard erasers. These work way better. Baby powder is such a mess and is less effective than these. I've tried everything in the book - I don't consider anything else but these any more.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, All Purpose Scrubbers, 4 Cleaning Pads per Box

I just use a thick pinky eraser. Have never had any problems.

I use baby powder all the time on cards and have never had an issue. Alot of people I graph with goes this route. I guess it is all up to the person to decide.
