One update today, received a surprise email success from Britain! I saw an email success on ★ FanMail.biz: The Celebrity Addresses Database recently for the English actor Richard Ayoade and I sent his management an email just asking if it was possible to send to me overseas. Never got a reply, but I did include them my address in the email. So today I was surprised to get it! He's an actor famous for his television programme "The It Crowd" which ran for a few series over in the UK in the last decade. He was also in some crappy American film with Ben Stiller recently too, but I prefer his English comedy

9 days - 1/0 Richard Ayoade

Awesome return. Did you try turning it off and on again?

Thank you. It's such a great show, wish they could make more. In my request I also mentioned Noel Fielding, who portrays Richmond and is also represented by Ayoade's people. They only sent me Ayoade, but I'm happy for anything

Another one today, 1/1 from one of my favourite vets Adam Dunn

I'm shocked to get it back honestly, I sort of expected to see it unsigned when I pulled it from the envelope. It looks sort of abridged compared to his many variations of signatures out there. He used a weird marker but I'm still glad to get it back Post marked from North Houston.

What is it with him, Konerko, and Pierzynski? They all seem to like signing cards horizontally On sort of a related note, I sent to Konerko today too

I think the main thing is they want to make it look undesirable so it won't be sold.

That or they're in a rush all the time lol.

Dang. I sent to him during the season so I was hoping maybe you had sent during the season as well. Really need to get him on a 2008 Ginter

I sent during the offseason last year, to a PO Box in Texas. I think if you can find that, you'll get a return. I got two cards and a ball signed.

I believe I sent my only 2008 Allen and Ginter card that I need, so I might have to find another one

Sent out an insane MOJO home request today, won't say who it's for just yet but I will say that they were MVP at one point in the last decade. Sort of not expecting a response, but the address was not exactly easy to find. I sent two cards, let's see what happens.

So I don't know if anyone else here has ever dabbled with sending out autograph requests to bands or musicians at venues on tour, but I'm having just about the worst time with it. I only got into it sort of as an experimental way of trying to collect from more varieties of people, I've followed other people in their successes on ★ FanMail.biz: The Celebrity Addresses Database , written to some of the same celebs that definitely sign and to venues that definitely pass it on. But today I think I got my most pathetic failure, I got two of my pictures back obviously forged by some girl who probably worked at the stadium. I am really in to electronic music (among other genres, I like pretty much everything) and so I heard djs Avicii (Swedish) and Armin Van Buuren (Dutch) were playing at the same show in Illinois on the 14th, I tried to send to them. Long story short, I got both my pictures back today, impossibly fast and not even close resemblance. They were both signed in pen, and not ball-point either. So they are insanely smudgy too, with the cringe-worthy inscriptions "Be safe!" and "Have a good life". I could see this working maybe if I was like 5, but seriously.

So those were my two returns today, lol. With that, I'm 0/10 (with three confirmed failures) for via-venue ttm.

Sorry to hear that, I was planning to send to some lead singers of bands I like to their house. We'll see how that goes.

The guys in RUSH usually sign c/o venue, but they probably won't be touring again for 2 years or so.

Sort of got a success today, it's almost invisible though!

I'm surprised to get something back from Paul Konerko, but damn he used a really faded silver sharpie on my card. Half success? xD

10 days - HOME, ends my streak of 10 days with no successes.

I thought it was established that the ones c/o the team were real and the ones c/o were ghost signed?

Anyways, whoever signed my Konerko cards c/o home 3 years ago used a similar awful silver sharpie!

Very happy to get back from two signers today, 2/2 Ron Cey (12 days) and 1/1 Brandon Workman (112 days). I sent the Ceys earlier this month and the Workman in September. One of the Cey's was meant to be a little gift for my dad, but I ended up not sending it out until way late so it didn't come back to me until now. My dad was a huge fan of the 70's Dodgers teams when he was my age, and my dad's NEVER gotten an autograph before, so I thought he would really enjoy to have it.
