Got a surprise today; A REFUSED RTS from Terrell Davis. I'm a little shocked because he was a great TTMer back when he was actually famous. I figured being retired a few years would make him even better; I guessed wrong. I guess it gives me a SASE to send to someone who cares lol.

Aren't you worried that the jersey will never be returned? I have thought about sending some University of Washington jerseys out to get signed by current NBA players, but am worried that I will never see the jersey again.

Have seen successes with him. At worst, I thought I'd get it back unsigned and get the photo he likes to send out. I sent a really nice letter with the jersey, and boom. High risk, high reward!! I still have 5-6 jerseys I'm waiting for; it doesn't always pan out. I just don't tell you of my failures

What are some of the biggest items/cards that have been kept/lost as failures?

Thousands of cards lol, photos, and I've got 5-6 jerseys (within 3 months though), and that's about it. I usually at least get the big items back unsigned or with a price sheet. I also am not dumb and send like a bat to Albert Pujols expecting something. I do research on whose has signed recently, and if I find a good deal on a jersey go for it.

How much does it cost to get a jersey and then framed, I had been thinking about doing that when Joe Nathan was signing at Cub, but I just got a official baseball signed.

I actually like to go to rummage sales, so if I see a jersey for under $5 and I know they sign TTM, I'll get it. I only have 4 of my jerseys framed (Bo Jackson, Tim Brown, Julius Peppers, and my Janikowski one). My dad makes the case, but the glass can run $200 for the UV protectant kind. My other jerseys I store in containers to keep them out of air/light.

I have to remember to send out some cards to him soon, is it best to wait for a homestand to send, I was going to send on Monday, start of at least a 7-day homestand, but forgot

Pretty Good Mailday as well. My Osterman didn't come; maybe tomorrow.

I got Terry Bradshaw (again....my dual with Stabler; will be sending to Kenny tomorrow), Dirk Nowitzski jersey c/o Team, and Frank Gore c/o Team. I'm a little upset with the Gore. I sent a dual RC of him and Smith (previously signed by Smith). He kept this card and sent me a glossy card as a replacement. Needless to say it's a smeared signature as well.

Sorry about that Gore. That is a shame that the cards were swapped. I wonder if it was Gore, or a handler that pulled the switcheroo?

That's a shame about Gore. I think most athletes don't realize how special some of these cards would be to us.

Ever since baseball started I havent had much time to sit down and actually look through my successes. I do enjoy seeing them for the 15 minutes my wife gives me free time he he... I am too affraid to send an auto of one athlete to get another auto from someone else. It might be wise to try and get duplicate signatures when you send out.. you know send two items. Send one out, if he signs you got that and if he doest, you got the other...

Oh, I ALWAYS do that. I don't send for a dual sig unless I have at least one backup (usually two because I get one for my son too). I got 4 of Alex Smith (including in-person). I'm not peeved about losing it, i was disappointed that if he kept it. He can get SMith's auto any time lol.
