Today brought...

Ron Washington 3/3 signed in blue sharpie.

Today brought a quick response from the legendary Bear HOFer...

Dick Butkus signed my 8x10 photo and card. He inscribed the photo "To Chris in friendship" and added his HOF inscription on both. The autograph and inscription is actually just like Dan's. Apparently we are both friends with Butkus!

I did include a small donatiion to his charity.

Apparently Mike Ditka is my white whale in autographs. I have sent to him 4 times...all 3 from his home address were returned to me unsigned...actually he scratched out his name and address on them and wrote return on them all. I sent one c/o the HOF about 7 months ago and I haven't heard anything from this. I sent an 8x10 pic of him this past time with "Donation Enclosed" written on the envelope, and still it came back. I am confused by this one as I know Dan and Raiderguy both got him and many others as well on other sites...apparenty he just doesn't like me!

On a positive note, I received Steve Buechele 2/2 in black sharpie back today. Ahh well, win some, lose some!!

A little bit shocked this one came back successful today...I had heard mixed things on him signing TTM....

No I was gonna ask if he was in the Twins or Sox uni on the card you got signed but I'm guessing it was a Sox card. Would've been interesting if as a current Sox player he signed a Twins card.

Ahhh...my bad! It was in a sox uniform. I need to post some pics of some of my recent successes...I am a slacker when it comes to scans.

Ryan Zimmerman signed 1/2 in black sharpie

Bart Starr signed 1/1 in blue sharpie with personalization and "Best wishes" inscribed along with his number inscribed....and no I didn't pay for this one!

Stan Musial sent his signed postcard in blue sharpie...did not sign the card I sent.

That is correct. Unless you pay he will send you a signed stat card. I have gotten him several years ago to sign for free...but it was over 10 years ago. The signed postcard that he sends back, is still decent though...and it is an actual autograph and not a preprint.

I received Steve McMichael, Jim Covert, and Shaun Gayle.

I am getting close to completion of the team.

This weekend brought a RTS from Duke Snider. I have been trying to get some HOFers and other greats for my nephew. I had "Donation Enclosed" written on the envelope and cash enclosed...I have read that he has been refusing all the past week or so...

Yeah his health is getting pretty bad again, hopefully he gets better soon. I got mine about 2 weeks ago & it looks like right after mine was sent (early Sept) he stopped signing.

Yeah, that is not good. Hopefully he is feeling better soon. I know throughout the past decade or so he goes through periods where he stops signing for awhile. I really hope he is just taking a break and is not seriously ill.
