And still more pics...a few of these autos might have been posted in my pics from a few weeks back...I was trying to remember off the top of my head which were the newer autos.

I went to the Tennessee Smokies game against the Carolina Mudcats last night since the Smokies are the AA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and I am a die hard Cubs fan. I knew that Starlin Castro was playing with the Smokies until he gets called up soon. I got him on a couple team signed balls last year, but wanted to get some other autos of him....and it went great! My wife and I were able to get several items signed by him....many of his family members were also in town to watch him play. His cousin was a really nice guy and we ended up talking with him lots throughout the night...he even bought me a beer. I also got the Reds top prospect Yonder Alonso to sign a ball and card (although he is not the friendliest guy out there and did not seem to want to sign even though we were the only two people near him). A pleasant surprise last night...Eric Davis the former Red was helping out their team and was coaching first base. I was able to get him to sign a ball for me and we shook hands...he was very pleasant and personable in person as well. Of course we also got some team signed balls from the Cubs prospects and lots of pictures. Here are some of the autos from last night...

I was looking at your pictures and noticed the 88 Fleer and 85/87 Topps. Man that takes me back. I was a pack busting machine during those days. I still can remember be mad as hell after pulling Jose Canseco cards out of 87 Topps packs with gum stains on the back.

Yep, I remember being quite upset when I pulled a 87 Topps McGwire gum stained! I still have all my cards!

Hey congrats! I was going through the general forum "TTM successes" threads since I've been busy at work. Finally got around to reading. Love seeing everyone get stuff in!

Larry Brown signed 2/2 in black sharpie (personalized the index card)

also in today's mail...

Mark Buehrle signed 1/1 in black sharpie.

Three more successes today...

Football:

Andy Robustelli (HOF)- signed 4/2 in blue sharpie with personalizations on some and "HOF 71" inscriptions on most. He signed my two items and included two of his own! Very nice and his auto is very nice as well!

Basketball:

Nate "Tiny" Archibald (HOF)- signed 2/2 in blue sharpie. Nice looking signature!

Arnie Risen (HOF)- signed 1/1 in black with personalization and "HOF 98" inscription.

Big mail day again today...

FOOTBALL:

Nick Buoniconti (HOF)- signed 1/1 in black sharpie with personalization

Joe Schmidt (HOF)- Signed 1/1 in black sharpie with "HOF 73" inscription

Charley Trippi (HOF)- signed 2/3 in blue sharpie

Dick Anderson- (3x pro bowler, college HOF) signed 2/2 in black sharpie with personalization

Chuck Bednarik (HOF)- signed 2/2 in black sharpie with personalizations and "HOF 67" inscriptions

and my favorite sports auto today...

Art Donovan (HOF)- signed 2/1 with personalization on 1 and "HOF68" inscription. He sent me a large signature card with a great looking HOF inscription on it. I gave him a $10 donation. He was one of my favorite old time players.

BASKETBALL:

Robert Parish (HOF)- signed 3/3 in black sharpie

BASEBALL:

Duke Snider (HOF)- signed 1/1 in blue sharpie, with $5 donation. His signature looks very shaky....nothing like what they did for years. I am sad to say that reports of his illness may be true. I wish him all the best and hope he is feeling well soon!

NON-SPORTS-

Anthony Bourdain- He signed 2/2 5x7 pictures! "No Reservations" is one of my favorite shows....I was psyched to get this one in!

Great, great mail day...I will post some scans this week of my latest successes!
