You just need to write "Donation enclosed" on the envelope and you should be good to go with the address you used.

I had 2 of 3 successes in today's mail.

Bad news first...Bumgarner sent me a letter similar to those who wrote to Buster Posey after the season started stating that he does not have the time to sign autographs right now.

Positive results:

Jeff George signed 4/3 in blue sharpie with personalizations. Nice looking signature and he included his own card as well.

Doug Harvey (HOF) signed my two index cards, one with personalization and with the inscription "HOF 2010" on them.

Yo, awesome returns buddy. BUMmer on the Bumgarner. Did you get your cards/photos back at least? I can't wait to try Jeff George. How did his own card look? Good job today!

Yeah, I got my two cards back at least. George's own card looked like those old police cards that used to be popular. There was a message on the back about always giving 110% etc. It had him in his Colts uniform. Hope you get yours back soon!!

Nice, yes, I'll try Mr. George this weekend!

Sidenote, have you tried former Hoosier Coach Bobby Knight yet?

I have Coach Knight from several years back at a book signing. I know that he requires a donation to sign (I think it was $25). He does have a nice looking auto though!

Two more successes today, both football...

Jordy Nelson signed 2/2 in a blue ultra fine sharpie.

Mike Tomczak signed 2/2 in black sharpie. Part of my Bears Super Bowl team collection. I already have McMahon, I still need Steve Fuller at QB!

No Autos today!! I think this is my first shutout in almost two weeks. Ahhh well....like others have said, it had to happen sooner or later! On a bright note, I did send out about 40 more requests today!

The drought is finally over! Today brought...

Joe DeLamielleure (HOF) - Signed 4/2. This one was kind of strange. He signed the two cards I sent him in ball point pen, with personalization and "HOF 03" inscriptions. He also sent me two of his own Hall of Fame cards signed in black sharpie, one with a personalization and "Go Bills, HOF 03" inscribed, and the other with just "HOF 03" inscribed. I did send a donation with this request since I have heard mixed results without the donation. I wish he would have signed the two cards I sent him in sharpie, but it was still really cool he added two of his own!

Bobby Herbert-personalized and signed 2/2 in black sharpie

Ken O'Brien- signed 3/3 in blue sharpie

Teddy Bruschi- signed 2/2 in black sharpie

Jim McMahon- I got him before, but they didn't show up great, so I resent...personalized 3/3 signed in black sharpie

Just died today. What a shame. Great you got him to sign in his final days, that auto will mean a lot to you for a long time.

It is sad indeed. I am grateful to have his autographed card in my collection. I was fortunate enough to get Eddie Matthews, Lou Boudreau and Bob Lemon to sign for me before they passed. These are all some of my more cherished autos.

Absolutely awesome mailday today! 4 Nice successes and 1 failure in today's mailbox...

The failure was Floyd Little...He used my return envelope and sent my card back unsigned with pricelist. Unfortunately I did not see that Raiderguy already posted this on his thread! I blame myself for that one. For anybody interested, he wants $15 for a card...

Okay, now on to the good news...

First a non-sports success...

Betsy Palmer personalized an 8x10 picture for me...she played Jason Verhee's mom in the original "Friday the 13th." The picture is of her with a knife from the movie too...very cool...it will go nicely with my Robert Englund signed 8x10 as Freddy.

Now onto baseball...

Al Kaline (HOF) signed 1/1 very nicely in blue sharpie (with donation).

Now for those of you who have been keeping track...remember the Goose Gossage fiasco where he sent my card back unsigned and kept my $10? Well, today I got the card back signed nicely in blue sharpie with "HOF 2008" inscribed. Apparently he read my letter I resent him. I did highlight "Please read" in yellow highlighter!!

And a nice football return is the best and last...

Peyton Manning signed my 2006 UD legends card VERY NICELY in blue sharpie!! It is definitely the real deal, as I have other stuff signed by him, including a 16x20 picture from Steiner. He returned my donation check as well...very similar to what happened to Raiderguy. A big shout goes out to Raiderguy, he is the one who first told me that Manning will sign with a donation to his charity site, after I tried before and got a preprint photo back. I will really try to get my scans up soon of my last couple weeks successes.

Nice job today, it's great to see Manning signing during the offseason. It's something else that he returns the donations. Maybe he contributes enough of his own salary to the foundation huh? Sweet!
