Default what's the biggest name you've gotten ttm?

95% of my TTM successes are players that I probably wouldn't even know existed had I not found them in a stack of commons, and looked up addresses for.
however, there have been quite a few big name players I've gotten in the last 20 years.
-Nolan Ryan was my first ever success, I think I was in 4th or 5h grade, and I felt like a millionaire the day I opened that envelope.
-Joe Montana was another elementary school success. it had the same result as Nolan Ryan.
then I started not getting anything back ever so I lost interest until after I finished high school. I tried spring training addresses in 2006 I believe, and got
-Cole Hamels on a baseball
-Robinson Cano on a baseball and an 8x10
-Mariano Rivera on an 8x10

I was on a hot streak so I went on a mailing spree and started losing baseballs and pictures so I gave it a break again.
sometime around then, I got my first football success from Donovan McNabb, who I ended up getting again shortly after.

i would love to hear about anyone else's big name successes

Usain Bolt has to be my best one that I've gotten. Postmarked from Jamaica as well.

Mine would probably be Blake Griffin on an 8X10 in 2010.

Around 1981 I got the Denny Eckes Baseball Address Book for my Birthday and I sent out tons of TTM. Some of my scores included:

Ted Williams (after multiple tries)
Charlie Gehringer (IMHO most beautiful signature of all time)
Hank Aaron (really bad Secretary Signatures)
Stan Musial
Mark Fidrych
Jim Kaat

I did some TTM with Smalling's first address book back when I was in Jr High School (early to mid 80's). I got the following:

Willie Mays
Sandy Kofax - he even personalized it to me
Brooks Robinson
Lou Brock
Reggie Jackson
Tommy Lasorda
Johnny Bench

and the very best? The San Diego Chicken......BOOM!

I've only been doing it since February this year so I don't have many big successes yet, but this is probably my favorite-

I'm mostly a baseball guy, I'd say my best are Stephen Strasburg, Clayton Kershaw, Giancarlo Stanton, Stan Musial, and Roger Clemens.

My favorite is my RUSH 8x10 I sent to a venue when they were on tour a few years ago. Some of my better ones since I started doing TTM in 1998 are:

all on cards:
Joe Morgan (before he started the index card thing)
Roy Halladay
Darryl Strawberry
George Kell
Jeff Bagwell
Tony LaRussa
Jason Varitek
Adrian Beltre
Mark Mulder (before he started rubber-stamping)
Josh Hamilton
CC Sabathia
Jose Reyes
Curt Schilling
Mark Teixeira
Duke Snider
Dom DiMaggio
Bobby Doerr
Mario Andretti
Sparky Anderson
Mark Fidrych
Mike Mussina
Bobby Thomson
Kerri Strug
Mike Trout
Mark McGwire
Jim Bunning
Doug Harvey
Mark Spitz
Richard Petty
Kasey Kahne
Jimmie Johnson
Kyle Busch
Kurt Busch
Kevin Harvick
Cale Yarborough
David Pearson
Al Unser Sr.
John Elway
Danny Ainge
Brad Daugherty
Lenny Wilkens
Robert Parish

...plus most major college basketball coaches of the early 2000s on index cards

Since 1998 I've gotten over 1,600 total cards signed TTM by over 500 different athletes, and the only ones I paid a fee for were Vida Blue, Felix Mantilla, Kevin Elster, Wade Boggs, Frank Thomas, and Christian Laettner.
