Default Anyone send to musicians lately?

I've sent CD covers and albums out years ago with some success, just haven't done it in years. Is anyone here knowledgeable about what guitarplayers, young and old, might sign through the mail nowadays?
Thanks,
VinnyH
PS: 10+ years ago I got B.B. King, Jackson Browne, Carl Perkins, David Bromberg as well as guys from their websites, Peter Frampton and Rick Derringer.

I may not be the oldest member here but I paid $8. an auto and shook Joe DiMaggio's hand at the Armenian Church in NYC once.

My experience with bands is quite limited, I sent to the management of Foster the People earlier this year and haven't gotten anything this yet. I also sent to the Black Keys on tour, only to get my photo back unsigned and my money wasted. They kept the marker!!!

DiMeola lives in northern Jersey and I got to interview him once for a website. I didn't bring anything to sign since you really shouldn't when working something. (That's actually written on the back of a lot of sports passes I got to stadiums years ago)
Best Always,
VinnyH

It took over a year to get some things back when I was doing it. I would always write a line or two about how I understood they toured and gig for long periods of time and I would gladly wait for an authentic autograph. David Bromberg has a sense of humor, as seen in the attached image from my wall.
Best Always,
VinnyH

Sweet!
I was maybe 15 at the time. It was the caterers daughter who asked me.
She probably didnt know about that particular faux pas.
Of the musicians Ive met it was always either thru work (I was an ad rep at the music paper for maybe a year waayyy back in the day) thru bandmates or just happen to run into someone at a studio. in just about all of those cases I was included in the smoke circle and it never occurred to me to even ask for an autograph. more of a "hey dude what year is your precision?" or "how in the heck are you singing high harmony while playing fretless cuz I dont hear an intonation issue on either one and i just cant pull that off myself"

I grew up in Bergen County. Think he was born in Bergenfield and living in Old Tappan at the time. So him being local was certainly a bonus. I actually met his mom once in a foodtown or pathmark. I was wearing concert tee from Electric Rendezvous and this lady just come up to me going
"OMG OMG you know my son!!"
I was all "uhm what? I'm sorry but i dont know you ?"
She points at the shirt "thats my son!!!"
So I asked her for ID lol.
She actually showed me drivers license and we chatted for a few minutes.
Mostly about which songs/albums I liked the most and why kinda stuff.
