Default Jacquo1972's Thread

I just started trying to obtain TTM autographs. I got my first success today! Sparky Anderson signed the card I sent him and got it back to me in 7 DAYS! This isn't my first response though. I sent one to Cal Ripken and got a reply saying he simply had too many requests to answer them all. I'll update this thread as I get replys. I have about 45 requests out so far for various football, baseball, basketball, and golf personalities. I will say it's very exciting to open up the mailbox and see the SASE you sent out.

Whoa! I can't see the pic at work, however I see you named it Trevino. I'm a big golf fan and love Trevino! Was it a card or pic? I'll see when I get home. Would love to know how you got his and how long it took.

Thanks!
Ram

I used his home address off Startiger. Got it back in 13 days. I owe you a big thanks for letting me know about that site!

I think I'm bad luck. I wrote Ben Roethlisberger about a month ago and now he's charged with sexual assualt. Last week, I wrote Dwight Gooden and now he's charged with driving under the influence. Now that I think about it, I may not be back on for a while. I have to get busy writing. I'm sending the entire New England Patriots organization autograph requests. LOL

I got this in the mail today. I sent him two cards, but the cards came back unsigned. The photo was substituted instead. I've looked at it for a long time and I want to say it's authentic. Looking at the 'N', it looks like there's a sharpie point where he started to make the letter. The 'R' looks like something similar happened. I've not seen enough authentic vs. autopen to be sure, but this looks more like a signature than something automated. I also couldn't find a similar picture anywhere to compare signatures. . .God, he looks old.

ryan sends out a preprint. You have to donate to his charity for an authentic one.

This is correct. You need to send him a $35 donation for him to sign your card or small flats, $55 for flats over 5x7 and balls, and $18 for inscriptions. You can make checks payable to: Nolan Ryan Foundation.

Received a couple of items in today's mail. George Blanda auto on a 1974 Topps card and a Dave Wannstedt autographed 8x10. I really like the Wannstedt auto, but of course the clowns at the post office decided to bend it a little to make it fit in the box.

I got this one in the mail today. I was really wanting this one, so I'm pumped that it got here so fast (15 days). It's a miracle it got here at all. He just put it in the SASE and folded the back flap. He didn't seal it in any way. I'm so lucky it got back to me in good condition.

I was starting getting a little frustrated because nothing had come in for several days. I have to keep reminding myself that I wrote to high profile athletes and replys won't be coming fast in most cases. Anyway, here's today's haul. I'm excited to get this one back. I loved watching this guy play when I was younger. He had the sweetest swing I have ever seen.

What a great mail day today. I received a reply from the Colts HOF'er Raymond Berry. Not only did he sign the Fleer Greats card I sent, he also included a card of his own plus a personal note on his DVD sheet. This gentleman is a class act. I'm going to write him a quick thank you note.
