OK, so I sent an e-mail to UT asking for Mack Brown's autograph. A package came in 4 days later.

In the package was 2 sheets of uncut cards of the team, as well as a team photo with all pre-print autos. Then there was what I inquired about, a "personalized autograph" from head coach Mack Brown.

After careful examination, and comparing to others, I determined the auto is a preprint. I then e-mailed the original address again and got this response:

"The photos are pre-printed & Coach Brown signs the names

HOOK 'EM HORNS!
Kasey Johnson"

So I was right, the auto was pre-printed. Still was free, so no big deal. I
e-mailed back asking for an authentic autograph, so maybe I'll get one this week.

A couple of things you can do before sending them out:

1) Pour baby-powder on the card and wipe away the excess
2) Take a magic eraser and scrub the surface.

Either one helps prevent the marker from "bubbling"

I know how you get him. Enclose $10, and on the envelope write "donation enclosed." I've seen that work before. It's worth another $.44 try anyway....

Each mailday is BETTER than the last!!! By far my best TTM week so far this week, 2 HOFers, and now one of my favorite players.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUK!!!! DID NOT expect to see this one come back, but definitely glad it did. Youk signed the 09 Heritage card and kept the 2010 Topps I sent him.

Things are getting good now because some surprises are rolling in. Up to this point, my successes have been expected-I've copied a lot of sendouts from other people on this site-but I really took a chance with Winfield and Youk and was pleasantly surprised. I sent to a lot of Red Sox at Spring Training-Youk, Pedroia, Papelbon, Lester, Beckett, Cameron, Beltre, Scutaro, Lackey, Okajima, and got the expected Cameron and Okajimas back early. Probably won't see anything from the rest, but as you can see below, you never know!!!

Yeah, I love the non-glossy cards too.

Yesterday was another GREAT mailday. They are really rolling in now for me!! Two more successes, one Red Sox (again) and one Yankee.

In my first results post, I had a pretty bad signature from Okajima and it came out horribly. I did a little searching in the B/S/T section and bought a couple of nice Okeys off elainebenice. Thanks!! The sig comes out great on these!!

This is a success, even though he didn't sign the card I sent him. Can't read this sig, but still a great player (even though he's a Yank) and a nice success.
