Backed out same day. Claimed they didn't receive the funds from an item that they sold, so they didnt have a the money.......amazing. Bidding with no funds to cover. Oh well, not the first time it's happened on Ebay unfortunately.

The card has definitely been an attention getter. When I first bought it for $1850, the original owner said if I decide to sell it he wanted first crack. Then a week after I bought it I was offered $2400 from another website but I wasn't interested in selling at that moment. Then eventually decided to sell to fund a bigger purchase, I couldn't get anybody to go higher than $2100, then eventually received an offer of $2250, I accepted, a couple days later, same story, didn't have the funds to pay.

Then it goes on Ebay and sells for over $1600 which would have been a total steal, then the buyer backs out again. So it's been priced anywhere from $1625 to $2400 depending on the buyer. I feel $1750 is a fair price (probably undervalued) to move it quickly. Just looking at the card you can see it's in much better condition that the SGC 40 grade that was assigned. We'll see what happens.

Nice card. Just know it's against the rules to request Gift "Friends & Family" payments. GLWS!

The same buyer that won this also won the chief bender auction that ended a few days later that you relisted, I am guessing due to non payment as well. He has 39 bids in the last 30 days and they are all on your items, you should probably block him if he keeps messing up your auctions

There's a group of collectors bidding to drive up prices lately, my auctions and those of my collecting partners were victims

This hobby has many issues as you all know.

I'm actually glad he didn't pay, I made more on the relist

Never forget there's always the right buyer out there who will pay what you want to satisfy their collecting focus. ESPECIALLY when it comes to tough dead ball era vintage.
