Up until 1967, the annual O-Pee-Chee (also known as Topps) hockey series was
produced in Canada. After an American Topps "test" series was produced in the
summer of 1967 (it looked just like the regular Canadian 1966-67 hockey
series), O-Pee-Chee and Topps produced two annual hockey sets from 1968-69
onwards. The hockey double (an O-Pee-Chee set in Canada and a Topps set in
the United States) coincided with the NHL's 1967 expansion from six to 12
teams. ... I think I cleared it up for myself ... lol

1914 Eddie Plank Cracker jack in high grade. The photo on that card is classic baseball, before the days of $100 million dollar contracts.

Saw this got bumped and realize I have already posted, since then I have actually picked up a 9.5/10 of the ptt. The mantle hasn't made it this way yet however.

I was just watching Legend of Bagger Vance last night (free HBO weekend). I was thinking how much I would like to get Sport Kings of Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen, not to mention the greatest female athlete ever, Babe Diedrickson from that set.

Just too hard to argue with a T206 Wagner though; there's a reason it's called the Holy Grail of all sports cards.

For an attainable dream I have to go with a nicely centered PSA 1-3 1952 Topps Mantle. For something I know I'll likely never own, its an M101 Ruth.
