Default 1955 Topps All-American Football Advise Needed!

Hello all,

I have the chance to pick up a copy of: 1955 Topps All-American of the 4 Horsemen from Notre Dame card #68.

This card is graded by PSA and got a grade of a 4.

I'm interested in this card, they're selling it for $100....Seems pretty good to resell or trade.

What are your opinions/thoughts/concerns, all are greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Problem with anything less than a 5 is there is potential for creases. However @ 100 I do not think it is a great resale purchase. A 3 sold for 56, is a 4 worth 100 to someone, sure however is it worth 150+? No, there isn't any meat on the bone so to speak. I would also recommend to anyone getting into graded vintage, not all grades are equal. There are many 5s that I would over pay for vs some that I wouldn't even purchase. Buy the card not the grade.

If you like the card for PC I'd snag it, if it's to try and resell I guess it depends on what you can get it for. I don't see the value of a 4 of this card going up significantly anytime soon.

I would snag it up at 100, I would definately try to negotiate first, but at 100 it still is a cool card to own. A PSA 3 is listed at 125. Do I think it is a fair market price, No, but do I think that a 4 for 100 or less is good? yes.

That specific card really is inconsistent in price. The only consistent prices are for cards in high grade, like PSA 8 and better. If the card is good looking than I would say go for it. Some 5's have sold in the $200 range. So you might be able to get $150.00 for it if the card has good eye appeal. $100 is a solid price but be prepared to have it listed for a while before you get what you want for it.
