Though I'm not a fan of BVG, I love the 1951 Bowman set, such a beautiful set. Gorgeous cards.

What is wrong with BVG in your opinion? Just curious what the difference is between bvg and psa when it comes to vintage. Thanks, JR

BVG is not as well respected for Vintage as PSA or SGC. I have never submitted or bought BVG slabbed cards so not sure what the exact reason is. To my knowledge, they just have far less stringent guide lines on grading and have been known to let more trimmed cards slip through. Not sure if this is 100% true but this is what i have heard.

PSA has its own issues but they do dominate the registry game and teir slabs command the highest prices on average. If they are being locked up in a private collection then it really doesn't matter.

Love the 51's. That Williams and the Campy are very sweet! Just picked up my Mantle and can't get enough of the 50s Bowmans!
