Default Fake 1975 Topps Yount RC on top graded pack??

I collect a lot of Yount stuff and came across this PSA 9 pack on Ebay. It looks very questionable at least and on other BO forums there have been proof of people breaking open PSA holders, inserting fake cards inside, and sealing it back up.

Look at the heavily pixelated orange border and picture.

Versus the real thing.

Is it just that the guy has a terrible scanner? I'm confused.

My scanner picks up print dots at times.
In this case, the scanner is trying to scan through a psa case, and the cello of the pack. The two transparent surfaces together probably act as a magnifying glass/telescope to the scanner.

This one is as crisp as can be.

That pack is fine. It is the scanner.

I'd say it's the scanner. All the pictures show the same kind of pixels. Even the Mantle on the back...and I'm sure that wouldn't be faked.

as others have said. I can adjust my setting on my printer and it will come up with so many multiple variations on how a card will look on it

Just a Moiré pattern generated by the scan.

think about it this way
somebody is going to
1. get a fake yount
2 open a cello pack
3 put it on top reseal it
4 send it in for grading

sounds like a lot of work

the yount is not a high dollar card. If you were going to fake the pack, you would put in a real yount. Easy enough to get a raw NM card for 10-20 dollars
