If you get good buyers, maybe. Its an easy way to sell cards, but about 1/100 don't pay, don't contact you, and don't care. Plus you really need to follow all of ebays sellers rules because if not, theres enough unscrupulous buyers that will ruin your day very quickly if you dont. But to be honest, ebay is the best option out there for quick sales that you'll get the highest consistent sale on.

i have many repeat buyers......on & off eBay. most of the repeats look for my auctions first when a new product is released. or message me to see if i'm bustin' what they are looking for. it's amazing how loyal a customer will be if you treat him right..... ie: extra base cards of favorite team...etc.
a little extra can go a long way. i also have a blocked bidders list about a mile long.....lol __________________ checkoutmycards.com/Users/go_steelers08 |

I think Ebay is worth the effort. I have 2 cards online that are ending tonight and there is no way I'd get the big $$$ if I tried selling them local. My local shops flinch when you mention "high book value" to them as they would only buy something knowing they are getting it to flip it. And I only have 1 monthly card show. There are a few player collectors there but it's really hit or miss. Lots of big fish cruise Ebay and you can get a lot of exposure. Is it a pain in the neck sometimes? yeah.... but depending on where you live it's a very attractive option. If you choose to sell on Ebay there are a lot of people on this board that would be willing to help you get started (formats, tricks and tips, etc..).

I could use some help. I became a PoweSeller just moving junk. I usually dont list anything of value on Ebay, just base card lots and stuff like that. I always get ripped off on my better stuff,so I just dont offer it to people on ebay.
Getting rid of alotof trash is great, but what I sell isnt worth the money I am getting back on Ebay. I think I can use some helpwith selling my better items. The amount of work and trouble over the junk is nolonger worth my time. I was in a car wreck awhile back and dont get out much since. I have beenat home selling on Ebay for about a year straight. It has built up to the point where I am ready to snap on the next punk who negs me because the post office screwed up delivery of their $1 card! I have a few customers that look formy auctions first, however I think that is only because they are getting steals from me.I do things like add extra base cards and and stuff like that. I have also tried getting my customers over to Naxcom. For some reason Naxcom doesnt have any traffic. I think there is something wrong with my listings. I went from a 4.75 shipping rate dsr, to now being in danger oflosing my Power Seller status because of 4.3 shipping rate dsr. I have never raised my shipping rates, in fact I have only lowered them. I noticed my DSR dropping when the Free Shipping promotion was going on. Ever since it has been a steady decline. I am now on the back page of the Best Match search. People with 0 feedback are above me. |
