New to the boards... Astros fan in Kentucky

Hi...been a customer of Blowout Cards for a long time but new to the forums. Always been a minor league baseball fan and the closest teams to me are Astros affiliates, hence my loyalty to the Astros now.

I've been buying, selling, and trading sportcards for most of my life.

Always interested in autographed items, game-used items, and low print run serial-numbered items.

Welcome to the forum. I figured for a KY resident you'd collect Reds. Who's the affiliates of the Astros there? I know the Bats in Louisville are triple A to the Reds but that's bout all I know since I live in Texas now.

Welcome to the forums. Here in Fresno we have the Grizzles which are the Giants Triple A team, and I have been to at least 5 games a season.

We have the Lexington Legends (low A affiliate) and about the same distance from me to the south I go to the Greeneville Astros (rookie level affiliate) also.

I grew up a Big Red Machine fan and do collect certain Reds players like Larkin, Bench, Concepcion. I also get down to Kissimmee for Spring Training each year to catch about 2 weeks of major and minor league camp...

Were you from Kentucky? what part?

Yea lol I forgot about Lex Legends. I've been away from around that that area for 10 years so I don't quite remember all things great about Ky, In & Tn lol. I' actually from Indiana originally but use to get to Kentucky quite often.

Thanks for the welcome.... I have always collected the Cowboys also...with my targets mainly being Dorsett, Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin....

Cool... I had friends in INDY that were close with Rob Morris (former linebacker with Colts) so I was able to get some nice family seats for some Colts games from time to time. I always liked INDY also as my company has a regional office there where I used to travel for business occasionally.

I always like Morris when he played, him & Cato June were a hell of a duo!!

Welcome to the boards. I'll always have a soft spot for the Astros as they are one of my 2 local Spring Training teams. Players, coaches and staff are outstanding and not a bad word to say about them (minus Brett Myers.)
