Default New Member From Wisconsin!

Hello,

Have been a lurker on the boards reading all the different posts every night for a long long time. Finally decided to take the plunge and join this wonderful community.

I spend a lot of the day at a desk doing my mind numbing work and thought this is a great way to take a break from it during the day!

Just wanted to say hello and go Brewers!!!

I agree, I think that is one of the things that made me finally register instead of just reading posts.

It was getting lonely here in the Fox Valley!

For those of us in Wisconsin... where do you guys go for hobbies?

I mainly stick to the Janesville, Ft. Atkinson area but was wondering if you knew any other shops to go to. The main ones I frequent are Planet Chaos and Kryptonite Collectibles.

For Hobbies, Chimera Hobby Shop is a good store here in Appleton. Nothing for sports cards at all, but if you like Magic, WoW, Warhammer type stuff they have a lot. As well as comics.

Sports cards in this area is rough, I usually always head back to the Milwaukee area if I want to go to a shop. Or I just go to the Gonzaga Hall show in Milwaukee the once a month they host it.

Hope this helps at all

It definitely does... I think I've been to Chimera before when they had someone signing there. Perhaps I'm wrong... is it near the mall? I know I went to one that was tucked in just behind a residential area when I was there last time.

Since I moved to the area it has always been located on Wisconsin Ave. I'm not sure if it was near the mall before. Right now it is probably about 10-15 minutes away from the mall.

They also had a 2nd store in Fond du Lac, that one was on Military, I think they moved it to a strip mall on Main St

This is right. They also had a store in the FDL mall around Christmas.

I Oshkosh you have Big League Cards which has a great selection. Also Hobby Town which has a much much smaller selection but also is cheaper on average.
