Glad to finally be on board here.
I'm not saying it took too long to be approved, but when I first applied I was using Netscape Navigator and found the site using the Magellan search engine is all I can say.

I have a large collection of worthless stuff from the late 80's and early 90's that spans from basketball, baseball and football.
I collected McFarlane's Sportspicks for a few years about 5-7 years back. Still have those.
I just really got back into card collecting maybe two months ago. At the moment, I am focused solely on the newer football with an emphasis on the Houston Texans stuff.

How about you?

Welcome to blowout. It must be different for you if you just started collecting recently compared to back in the 90's.

I made a small appearance in the late 90's, collecting Ricky Williams rookie cards after he left Texas. So, I have a small understanding of where things were going.

I wish at that time I had been smart enough to buy the more high end boxes. My friend and I went from one Toys R Us to another buying up the most cheapest boxes of Topps and Score. Not worth anything now really.

I am a huge sports fan and a collector by nature, hence the switch to McFarlanes there for a while. It is very difficult for me to focus right now on what to collect. I would like to put together a standard set, but I also want it to be at least somewhat valuable in ten years.

I will get it figured out here eventually.

Thanks.
Missouri City area here.

I am thinking about going to Tri-Star. I have not made up my mind yet. I keep looking at the autograph ticket list to try and help me make up my mind. Haven't leaned one way or the other yet.

You?

Even if you aren't getting any autographs, it is still fun to see the athletes and booths.

I won't be going full force either, but I might pick up a few cheap cards. I am glad I've narrowed down my card interests. It saves money and gives me something in particular to look for.
