Living in Carmel right now, it's about 20 minutes from Bangor. But orginally grew up in Gardiner.

Ahh, I see. So, you're from up north, or as we say, down east

I grew up in Kittery Point - but you can call it Massachusetts if you want

My parents own a summer cottage on Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, so my gf and I pass by the Carmel exit on 95 every summer on the way up there.

If the taxes weren't so high, I'd love to live in Maine. It's my favorite state (sorry, New York), and is full of trees, seafood, and lighthouses. What more could one want? And, having lived in Syracuse my whole life, I'm used to cold winters.
