Default New Member Greeting

Hello everyone, I'm Arch and just recently joined the forum. I've been checking out the threads here occasionally and finally decided to join. A little about me, I was a collector back in the late 80's early 90's of mostly baseball but got out of it when I started high school. I recently got back into it in late 2008 when out of curiosity, bought a blaster box of UD basketball at Target and pulled a Lebron jersey. That was my first jersey card ever and I started collecting again since. Now I collect basketball and football of mostly SF bay area players. I hope to post some of my latest b-ball box breaks as soon as I figure out how and hear from you all to see how I did. Thank you everyone.

Welcome to the board. Check out the FAQ area, there is a thread that will instruct you on how to post imagery. After that? Posting your breaks is a piece of cake. Have fun and good luck busting!

Welcome Arch!

I enjoy hearing about what sparks people into collecting again. This is a neat story. I'm curious, had you not pulled that Lebron jersey and actually received a bunch of dud cards, would you have still come back to the hobby?

In either case, I'm glad you're back. Hopefully more and more people start up again like you.

Welcome to the board! I had a similar experience when I got back in. Box of 07 Artifacts fb pulled a Leinart triple patch that I traded for a box of 05/06 BeeHive and pulled the card in my sig. Crosby beige RC 1:impossible to pull.

Hope your luck builds upon the Bron!

Thank you and sorry for the late response. You know, I don't really think it would have mattered to me if I pulled a nobody. Just the excitement of pulling the first ever card that didn't exist 20 years ago, is something worth remembering. I just so happens, in my case, that it was Lebron. It might not mean to alot of people, but for me, it's a treasure I'll keep and I look forward to the day that I share my hobby experiences with my children.

Thanks pskell! Wow, those are some great pulls that you got there. I don't think I would have had the nerve to trade the triple patch though. In your case, it was an excellent trade off.
