Jiggs from Indiana.
I used to collect when I was a kid in the late 80's and early 90's, unfortunately during the worthless years. I got back into it in 2001, then again in 2004. Now I'm back for who knows how long. I was just getting back into it for some Arod rookie stuff(while its still "cheap") and I also thought I would collect the 1952 Topps set. I soon realized that the Mantle would cost me a fortune for even a graded 1 so I decided to give up on that. I started to dabble in the new stuff and discovered Blowout Cards. Best prices and excellent service, can't see buying from anybody else. |

Wow, that was pretty random about the "thought I would collect the 1952 Topps set"... that's a tough set obviously! Good luck with it though, and don't give up despite the steep price. I think it would be a great project. Welcome to the forum!

Yeah it was kinda random, I'm known to do that. I actually did start on it though, I picked up 30 commons in fair to good condition, paid $5 each. I sold 6 of them back on Ebay. I didn't get what I paid for them so I'm gonna hold out on the others and see what the market does come first of the season.

Wow, small world it is. I didn't think there were any card collectors over at Scott's, but I guess odds are there would be a few.
I tried spamming my table raffle over at BYOC, that forum is dead. I don't think Quads cares though, less work for him to have to do. |
