1981 Fleer Baseball Hobby Box

Configuration: 38 packs per box. 17 cards + 1 stick of gum per pack

1981 Fleer marked the return of the brand into the modern sports cards market after nearly a twenty year hiatus. The set was made in three printings in order to correct a multitude of errors. Despite this, there are many errors that were never corrected including all pitchers having the words “Batting Statistics” over their stats and Fernando Valenzuela’s name being misspelled as “Fernand”.

Boxes of 1981 Fleer advertise 2 extra packs which make there a total of 38 packs in a “full” box. The bonus packs were inserted standing up in the center of the box and were routinely removed for various reasons leaving many “full” boxes with only 36 packs.

Key Rookies
- Fernando Valenzuela, Tim Raines, Danny Ainge, Kirk Gibson, and more!!
