Black November Wave 2 ... here are five deals I'd grab now

If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as the new wave of Blowout Cards' Black November sales is here

Many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

LOW PRICE, BIG POTENTIAL
2022 Topps Star Wars Book of Boba Fett Hobby Box or Case
I'm not sure I watched a minute of this series -- can't keep up with it all -- but there's reason or two to pop the lid on some tins here. You get an autograph or sketch card in every box and on of the inked possibilities is Rosario Dawson, whose auto here has sold for $500 and up (a recent eBay high of $700 ... and $899 for a plate) with some strong asking prices, too. Now she won't be in every box, of course, but as a relative newcomer to Star Wars autos and a meaty resume elsewhere, it's not a bad auto to find in general and coming from a box (tin) this cheap would be a big win. Heck, at these prices, she could pay for the case and more. Temuera Morrison (Fett) and some of the multi-signed cards here are also of not and there are some sketches that can obviously deliver well if they are well-crafted. Atop all that, you get base cards are and a number of inserts and parallels, especially if you rip by the case.

Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).

A SUPRISE RARITY (AND MORE) IS POSSIBLE
2013 Panini USA Baseball Set Box or Case
Before I go into the obvious USA rundown here -- and there's a lot to note -- I'll just go with what will be a surprise to some about this one. Boston Red Sox rookie Masataka Yoshida -- you know, the former Nippon Professional Baseball star from Japan -- has a rare autographed card here limited to only 25 copies and an early autograph style that he's obviously no longer using on his MLB stuff that's plentiful but still pricey at the moment. It's not going to be an easy find but if you do land one it likely makes everything else in the case free. Among some of the MLB players in this one right now? Jack Flaherty, Alex Bregman, Matt Chapman, Michael Conforto, Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner and Andrew Vaughn ... you can find autos and memorabilia cards (and sometimes much more advanced card styles) for all of them and more. You'll land at least nine hits per box and sometimes more ... here's one of my past Buzz Breaks where I pulled one of Yoshida's teammates. The best way to go here is by the case as that would likely yield the proper mix of the rarer hit types along with the basics.

SAFETY IN NUMBERS
2019 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Monster Box
This ode to 1970 Topps is one packed with rookies and that means possible autos, Relics, parallels and more for those guys and more with some cards only found in this format among the Chromes. (Nothing truly big on that front but set collectors might pony up for needs on the rarer side of things more than you might expect for a name they need.) The rookies include Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Pete Alonso, Austin Riley, Fernando Tatis Jr. and others with hits also in play. The auto odds are never super-friendly for this release -- hobby, retail or online-only format like this box -- but high series ink does include Hank Aaron, Aaron Judge, Bob Gibson, Carl Yastrzemski, Al Kaline, Don Sutton, Frank Howard, Juan Marichal, Juan Soto, Mike Trout, Nolan Ryan, Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuña Jr., Rod Carew, Reggie Jackson, Shohei Ohtani, Guerrero and Tatis among others. Many of those would be nice surprises ... especially at this price.

A FAVORITE WITH EVERYTHING POSSIBLE
2018 Topps WWE Then, Now, Forever (aka Series 2) 20 Pack Lot
Easily one of my favorite sets Topps ever produced for WWE -- so much so I ripped a case of these packs plus a boatload more in all formats back in the day -- and this one, like others in this lineup, can include good stuff with some luck. These lots are solid in their size so you should have a pretty good shot at landing something in them among hits with parallels and other kinds of cards popping even more often. (Blue shows here regularly and is one of the best colors if you ask me.) The photography here is clean and the lineup of newer names is strong as the first series was a little lesser while including more retro names. This one can have ink, Relics, kiss cards, printing plates, photo variants and more ... and blasters actually don't deliver a lot of those card types. Notable ink possible here includes Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Bray Wyatt, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Liv Morgan, Ricochet, Sami Zayn, Sasha Banks, Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins among others. If you include other types of auto cards then Mickie James, Mandy Rose, John Cena, Kevin Owens and Asuka are also in play. Beyond hits, this is just a simple and nice set to collect.

RIP IT IN VOLUME
2020 Topps Holiday Baseball 40 Box Case
This brand has been a safe rip for years now and that's with its rookie-rich checklist, a guaranteed hit (auto or Relic) in every box and then a number of parallels and variations also found in every box all helping things out. Since it's a smaller set (200 cards) you get a good chunk of the set in every box but this one has big-hit potential with the rarer stuff. Variations can be fun as well as of note if you land a better name in a rarer version. Autos aren't the norm here in every box but by the case you should find something on that front -- and there are auto parallels as well as auto Relics. Among the signers in this one? Well, it's meaty ... Aaron Judge, Bo Bichette, Bryce Harper, Clayton Kershaw, Mike Trout, Ronald Acuña Jr., Pete Alonso, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Yordan Alvarez, Albert Pujols, Luis Robert, Shohei Ohtani, Zac Gallen, Juan Soto and others. For Relics, that checklist widens out even more with even more to collect with an emphasis on All-Stars and rookies throughout ... all with some added holiday feels. 'Tis the season.
