Black November Wave 4 is here … and here are five I'd grab
This entry was posted on November 20, 2020
.If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales are going strong with Wave 4 dropping earlier today.
Many of the discounts are dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

BEST POTENTIAL IN CHEAP BOX AWARD GOES TO ...
2013 Panini USA Baseball set
I'm not sure I've seen this one drop this low before (a doorbuster price that likely won't last long) and that only adds to the potential here. The base set includes the likes of Alex Bregman, Matt Chapman, Michael Conforto, Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, Jack Flaherty and Andrew Vaughn (among others) and each of those guys have autos and mem here -- and you get nine hits per box. Also among the hits can be members of the Japanese Collegiate All-Stars team and every box includes three Blue Prizm Select cards with all of those key names in there, too. At this price, this one is an easy throw-in and it's also one I'd consider ripping into three or four times for some safety. With all of the various patch cards and auto-mem combos and all those names, there's good potential here. Yes, there are a lot of guys who didn't pan out, too, but one key name on a key card like Vaughn, the third pick in last year's draft by the White Sox, or any of those MLB guys and it should feel like a solid bargain break.
Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).
ALL ABOUT THOSE BONUSES ...
2020 Topps Big League Baseball collector box
These super-cheap boxes pack something a little different inside along with some packs. Each one of these includes a retro-styled MLB Super7 toy figure (think early Star Wars for the style of toy and packaging) with every fifth box having an alternative packaging variant for that toy, too. You also get 10 packs here and there are autographs to be found ... if this one lasts into next week I'm buying. (My weekend card money got booked for the next Buzz Buys item to come here.) If you have a beginner or just like to dabble on the cheap for collecting not chasing some big-money flips, this one is a no-brainer ... and there are still key cards possible.

A SIMPLE FAVORITE
2020 Topps Star Wars Return of the Jedi: Black & White hobby box
There are a few Star Wars options among the doorbuster deals this time and even more than one option from this brand which takes more of an oldschool documentary-style look at each of the first three films. This one came out earlier this year -- it seems like years ago at this point -- and I'd go here first based on the price. (Empire might be better but costs more ... link above shows all of 'em in this wave.) I've ripped a couple of these in Buzz Breaks and they typically include a handful of parallels (some numbered, some not) along with an autograph. They aren't the easiest pulls but some of the notable ink found here includes Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid and many more ... and there are even dual- and triple-auto cards to be found as well as a sixer. This one also has sketch cards. The base set includes a lot of photos perhaps not seen before on cardboard -- at least I think that's the case based on the style of this one ... it might be my favorite Star Wars brand of them all.

SAFETY IN NUMBERS
2014 Bowman Chrome Baseball HTA jumbo box
This is the priciest of my picks here but it's a jumbo box with, as you can see, five autos. There will undoubtedly be guys who didn't make it all these years later but ink here across all sets includes Aristides Aquino, Jeff McNeil, Julio Urias, Bryce Harper, Mike Piazza, Javier Baez, Kris Bryant, Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, Carlos Correa, Freddie Freeman, Francisco Lindor, George Springer, Giancarlo Stanton, Jose Abreu and Miguel Cabrera. Many of those guys are on inserts with low volumes but they are still in there. Another big key? The 2013 Bowman Draft Kris Bryant autographs also can be found here ... and while he might not be as big as he once was that card will always be among his strongest. Beyond ink there are rarities and color to chase here, too.

FOR YOUR ART COLLECTION ...
2019 SportKings Originals 1/1 art masterpiece packs & cases
This one is another of my keep-it-simple picks -- an original piece of artwork used for a past SportKings release in a top-loader -- with some legendary names in there as well as more legends from more obscure areas of the sports world you might not be all that familiar with as a collector. (Those might surprise you.) I've never seen these this cheap and I'd have to think that landing Joe Namath, LeBron James, Willie Shoemaker, Barry Sanders, Ken Griffey Jr. or any of the others you see here. (Dibs on that Ric Flair if you pull it.) There are multiple pieces for a lot of the big names, too. My last one I ripped of this? Wilt Chamberlain. If you want something different and something one-of-a-kind, this is one to grab. (I likely will next week.)
