What's Buzz-worthy: This rookie crop isn't the strongest these days but that means the boxes are cheaper than other years around them -- and that can make for some decent returns if you land some autographs that are guys who have fared well. Rookies here with ink include DeAndre Hopkins, Eddie Lacy, Geno Smith, Zach Ertz, Keenan Allen, Le'Veon Bell and Travis Kelce -- all guys who have had ups or downs since this one arrived -- and a lot of other guys, too. This box would have been big back in the day with that Geno Smith auto but it doesn't hold up all that well now -- without that card it'd be a C box at best. You get a bunch of base here and a set and a half -- and one reason I picked this one besides the volume of what you get here is the design. I like the look and feel of this one and it's got good photo cropping to go with it. There are potential patch cards and patch-auto cards to be found here, too. If you find the right combo of a player and rarity it'll pay for a box or more. Crusade cards and parallels are also a standout inclusion to look for here with a set for 10 veterans and 40 rookies with each having a number of parallel sets. All in all, I could have done better but it also wasn't too rough for the price. Older NFL can be hit and miss as many young players' careers can already be over in this timeframe, but if you just rip for fun to see what surprises you might find, this isn't a bad option.

Product Grade: B
Box Grade:
B (Geno would have been huge at release plus a couple rares)
Fun Grade: B+ (good hit volume, heavy rookie volume, decent insert volume)
