What's Buzz-worthy: I last ripped into some of these backs in the fall of 2019 and with some of my bases not covered for this marathon -- stuff I ordered turned out to not be available -- I fell back on some of these. Why? Well, because I could still find them and I need one card of Eddie Vedder from this set that I didn't land last time ... one showing him in a Chicago Cubs uniform. ... Sadly, I didn't get it this time, either. ("This is not for you!" is all I'm hearing right now.) ... For those who don't know, these are cards made for a Chicago concert series and it's one of three sets made -- the others being Seattle and Boston. Each shows the band members posing in baseball unis on a card and then the rest of each 60-card checklist includes cards of concert photography and then a card of the band's producer to show him and the complete image that the card's back photos create if you collect them all. This one is a 1990-91 NBA Hoops homage and it's a follow-up of a much-pricier 1991 Topps baseball homage -- one option for fans among their concert merchandise (posters, shirts, etc). Those cards were such a hit, they've done them again with these. I graded the two MLB Vedder cards -- that's how much I liked the novelty of them -- but I wanted to get the last one ... but it didn't happen. I'll try again at some point. The silver-edge design is one that will showcase flaws easily but these are smoothly cut and clean for the most part, save for centering. The packs are a glued paper variety -- no wax stains -- but there can be corner and surface issues quite easily as the stock isn't super-thick.
Product Grade: A-
Lot Grade: B+ (I didn't get the one card I specifically wanted ... so not an A this time)
Fun Grade: B+ (see above)
