What's Buzz-worthy:  It's a #TBT kind of day, so a modestly priced pack of a past hobby heavyweight got my attention to rip ... and, well, I landed a couple of notables from back then and a rookie who had a long, decent MLB career ... but nothing much here that commands much attention. Why? Well, a lot of stuff in this set -- a 660 card set -- hasn't aged well, despite this being arguably one of the best Fleer sets of the 1980s and, at worst, one of the best-looking, too. ... The crop of 1987 baseball card sets is a strong one that's made plenty of money for plenty of people over the years and Fleer is right there among the best. It's a tough call as to which is my favorite between Fleer, Topps and Donruss but this one has a design that's appealing as long as you can avoid the dreaded printing spots (I didn't) and miscuts. ... The young stars who were big at this time -- Barry Bonds, Bo Jackson, Jose Canseco, Will Clark and so many others -- weren't here on base cards. Even the lesser RCs here -- Kevin Mitchell, Wally Joyner, Ruben Sierra and John Kruk for example -- carry a certain feel that you can't escape if you collected at the time. Would I open more? Maybe if cheap ... but you can find slabs for names here cheap, too, with some looking.
