What's Buzz-worthy: I often buy my boxes in pairs and this is the second one of these in recent months. Why? These include a past box (from before 2012) as well as a pack of bonus hits and a promo card. In some cases, these can really over-deliver on the autograph front but this inner box was a leaner release that typically has just one auto .... and maybe a second hit with some luck. This particular box included a rarer kiss card auto and a couple of appearances from a BW regular who is popular but has a lot of ink out there. Without the kiss card this on was probably closer to a B-level box though its names weren't bad finds. Hits and premium base cards are the key things to look for in newer releases -- so base cards like this aren't in there -- and I don't mind that approach if the price is right. This one is right there, too, on the price side but doesn't deliver as many hits as other, newer boxes that aren't dramatically more expensive. All in all, BenchWarmer boxes are an affordable alternative right now compared to some stuff ... so that's why I'm ripping -- for some variety.
