What's Buzz-worthy: With Topps back in the WWE ring this year, I figured a #TBT kind of break would be in order back to nearly a decade ago ... and, well, it's the end of the year/start of a new one where I'm desk-clearing and waiting on new stuff to arrive. These? They were throw-ins with a couple of boxes I landed last year and they show how there are some flagship-style sets that just don't age well at all. This one is packed with past stars -- that's perhaps its best feature -- with very little heat in there beyond some then-youth in the NXT inserts and then hits, which didn't happen this time. Racks aren't the ideal thing to rip here -- blasters were safe with a hit (auto/Relic) every time for $19.99 -- so these are the first break of this format here and the results show why. I busted more than a few boxes of this one in the past so poke around here on The Buzz if you want more thoughts. Hit that link up top for more options over in the store -- WWE wax is definitely drying up from some recent years and some like this one seem long gone in the premium forms.
Product Grade: A (my original grade ... this set has not aged well)
Box Grade: C+ (not much here with small packs and no guarantees)
Fun Grade: C
