What's Buzz-worthy: You ever pick up that straggler from the bargain bin and get rewarded big? That's what happened with me and this $9.99 box. This is the second time in just the last couple months one of these slashed boxes delivered a printing plate and this one was an insert -- one in 963 boxes ... yes boxes -- for this one. It's not like I've busted a bunch of these boxes, either, with no more than eight or so. ... Coins are found one in every three boxes, though they have not flowed that well for me. The Blue parallel card also wasn't a typical find here -- that's one in 285 packs -- and that just reinforces that this is another A+ blaster box. ... As said previously, this is a brand where I was first on the fence when I saw Heritage mocks using the 1989 Topps baseball design here, but in person these are crisply printed and cleanly cut allowing for the oldschool feel to be found here but in cleaner ways than the original. It makes a world of difference along with strong photography and this one has it. The release is definitely insert-heavy but it still works with a mix of cards that are all relatively cohesive. ... Hobby boxes guarantee you an autograph every time and the lineup there is strong, though most of the signers we've seen before, along with a second hit. Heritage didn't happen this year so fans of the brand will have to look back at this one and others from recent years to get their retro fix on wrestling cardboard.
